My thinking is pretty much in line with this article, though I'd put Gagné as a stronger candidate than the sequential list implies. I think Holmgren would prefer Gagné if his cap weren't so squeezed. As several have said before, his veteran two-way presence would be welcome on Couturier's wing.
That being said, I wouldn't be disappointed with McGinn, as long as he lives up to what we have seen in his limited time with the Flyers.

Looking back, I remember Gagne just playing overall well. Not elite by any stretch, but as pointed out, smart, two way hockey adding points here and there. The guy is 34, not 43. If healthy, big if, he can be valuable to a team that's loaded with 20-24 yr olds
