It depends on where you wear them, what you wear them with, if they're filthy, and whether it's actually a euphemism for having an upside-down genital arrangement.

I'm hoping the lady or ladies will chime in on this discussion.

These are the sandals I wear:

They're okay if you're going to the beach, a casual barbecue or something like that, but if you're dressing to impress, I'd recommend something else. I don't pay that much attention to the shoes a man is wearing, as long as they're clean and you're not doing something very stupid (like wearing white tennis socks with those sandals- THAT is a turn-off!).

I think I'll stick with flip flops when appropriate.

If I'm dressing to impress, sandals aren't even in the conversation. I usually go with a button up shirt (lately it's been black with small, white pin stripes), a pink tie, either black pants or dressy jeans (depending on the occasion) and black dress shoes.

It's usually a button up shirt and dress pants of some sort.

For a semi-casual date, I'd go button down with the sleeves rolled up (short sleeve button down looks ridiculous IMO), clean dark wash jeans, and a nice casual (not dress, not sneaker) shoe.

Here's a good guide.

You have to go white sneakers. I don't think anything else is an option (color-wise).

Depends on your age I guess. Again, in college, everything is casual, and a clean pair of white sneakers is a solid choice. For grownups, not unless your first date is at a gym

As you'd probably guess, really happy to see Phil win the British Open. Easy to root for him. Fellow lefty. Love his DVD set (helped me break through on my chipping).

If you hadn't heard, he ditched his driver for the round, bringing basically a 2 wood and a hybrid along with four wedges (I don't count the PW as it's basically a 10 iron). Brilliant move for the links course, which has a ton of roll and even more so with the dry grass. And of course, avoiding the NASTY bunkers along the way.

Good lesson to be learned for the rest of us...Phil's not very accurate off the tee (163rd on the PGA). So use a higher lofted club and keep it in the fairway.

Will also be interesting to see if the driver/fairway wood hybrids (higher loft, less volume, and a little shorter than a driver) start popping up. In a perfect world, I'd probably play a 2 wood, a 5 wood, 3 and 4 hybrids, irons through gap, then a sand and lob wedge.

Phil gave me a fist pound at the US Open. That was the highlight of my month. Looks like I was good luck for him.

It's impossible to golf lefty without being a fan of Phil.

I was hoping for Poulter to win, but too little too late.

Shoutout to Mikko Ilonen actually playing in the Open during the weekend. The best Finnish golfer in the world, which isn't saying much.

Baby steps, baby steps...

That's the whole like a boss thing tho...you have to have an actual attitude of "yeah, I'm ****ing awesome so I do whatever the **** I want" instead of the "whatever I dont give a **** anymore too lazy to do laundry" that you are probably thinking of. Big difference.

So I'm still hearing contradicting reports on Season 5 of The Venture Bros. Some people are saying it's just a shorter season and that Sunday night's episode was indeed the Season 5 finale while others are saying it was only the half-season finale and they'll be splitting up the season into two parts much like South Park usually does. Anyone know the truth? I'm guessing last night was indeed the Season 5 finale but I'd love to hear otherwise.

Yeah that's a pretty safe bet. Make sure you wear a rubber. And you may also want to leave your fancy cell phone at home and go with a cheap backup, no cash in your wallet, and if you have a beat up scrap box laying around, drive that instead of your regular car.

Then again I COULD just be paranoid.

Probably, actually.

Screw it. You kids have fun now.

mybad. Its been a while since I lived in Faargo.

When I met someone a few months ago I left everything in the car and parked a half mile away. We're cut from the same clothe. I like it.

My dad had major back surgery just a few days ago, so I haven't been on the PC/HFBoards much. I have gone every day to spend the day with him, he's in a ton of pain but progressing.

Also, am I the only person who doesn't give a flying you know what about the royal families? Yes I understand it is special Kate is going to be having a baby but I don't that it's that big of a deal to us other people.
