he used to be the Blackhawk's coach if I remember correctly...
EDIT:
Stephane Waite
Chicago Blackhawks - Goaltending Coach [ Back to Coaches Index ]
Stephane Waite joined the Blackhawks during the 2003-04 campaign on a part-time basis serving as the team Goaltending Coach.

A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Stephane has over 25 years of experience as a goaltending coach and consultant. At an early age, he knew he wanted to teach and coach the art of goaltending. With that one goal in mind, Stephane has honed his skills while playing or coaching at every level of hockey. He has most recently served as Sherwood Hockey's Pro Goaltender Representative (2001-04) while also a Goaltending Consultant for IMG Hockey (2000-04).

Stephane has served as a Goaltending Coach for a multitude of minor and junior teams over his career on the ice: Lewiston Maineiacs, QMJHL (2003-04), Magog Cantonniers, Midget AA (1997-04), Sherbrooke Castors, QMJHL (1998-03), Coaticook Frontaliers, Junior AAA (1997-01), Team Quebec, World Championship Under-17 (1990, 2000-01), Le Triolet High School (1998-01), Head Coach of Waterloo 94's (semi pro), Sherbrooke aucons, QMJHL (1993-96), Saint-Jean Lynx, QMJHL (1990-91), Saint-Jean Castors, QMJHL (1987-89), Trois-Rivieres Draveurs, QMHJL (1986-87), Shawinigan Cataractes, QMHJL (1985-86), Cantonniers De L'Est, Midget AAA (1983-89), Qubec Hockey Federation (1985-86), Sherbrooke Inter City (elite) (1981-83).

Stephane has also ran his own hockey camp for goaltenders in Quebec since 1999 as well as worked at a variety of other hockey camps over the years.

Waite has coached many current and past NHL goaltenders (Jocelyn Thibault, Brian Boucher, Felix Potvin, Jean-Sebastien Aubin) and many up and coming NHL prospects. Stephane's name may sound familiar to Blackhawk fans. That is because his brother Jimmy was the team's first round pick, 8th overall, in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.

Stephane and his wife, Annie, have a son, Frederick.

He's done a great job with Niemi and Crawford, seems like a very good choice.

If there's one man I trust to turn Price around, it's Waite.

Bergevin bringing in some more Blackhawks talent. Never a bad thing.

I'm happy it's not one of the guys who's "buddy-buddy" with Price. Crawford made tremendous progress with that guy. A top-5 pick like Price should have no problem improving his game as well under his coaching, with all the things he's said to be so exceptional on...
