Off-set blades

Remember those things? they seemingly didn't stick around too long. Don't know why I thought of them but I was meaning to try one someday and never did..

Did anyone try em out, and what did you think of them? And why did they seem to go the way of the dinosaur? I remember the logic being they loaded the stick more inherently .. what was up with those?

thx

Hespeler made the offset Gretzky blade. I never used one. I think the theory behind it was the extra power generated form the 1-2 inch offset like you said. I wonder how durable the actual offset tenon was...Kinda weird idea...I wouldnt mind tryin one out just to see if I noticed anything different. A backhand shot might be a little weird with it as would stickhandling.
