It would be nice to confidently say "We won a trade"

Please Jim, let us say it, just once, I beg of you.

It's important to note that hip disorders are common among hockey players. Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli estimated that 70 percent of his players have hip issues and that it is "nothing to be alarmed about." Chiarelli insisted Seguin's condition is not serious.

"I'm not going to comment whether it's congenital or not," Chiarelli said. "I don't want to get into details what we think it is or isn't and I don't want any alarm bells going off. Like I said, you can go through our roster and there are probably 12 or 13 guys with something similar or the same thing.

No Ritchie, Stransky or Chiasson I want to see this guys first (for at least a full season) in the NHL before the Stars trade them.

5 player deal according to Bob.

I'm hoping:

Seguin and Peverly

Eriksson, Fraser, Larsen

*fingers crossed*

Lose the most disciplined player on the team by a mile, gain a player with attitude problems, and a player technically under contract with the KHL in a matter of days. Mmm.

Boston should be adding. Seguin isn't worth Eriksson alone. Especially when you compare their contracts.

I am under the impression his being able to return to the KHL as opposed to conditioning in Austin qualifies as under contract.

I don't even know.
Unless Boston is adding something ridiculous (which is very unlikely) to Seguin, you have nothing to be concerned about. You're getting the better player and the better fit for your current team in Eriksson. Dallas is the one taking the risk.

Don't know what to feel right now. Hate to lose Loui. Probably won't like it until Seguin actually plays for us.

Sucks to see Loui go. Not on board with this. Only if another proven defensive forward comes this offseason (-> Filp fits Loui's role better than 2C).

Very true. BUT, 5 years from now, we here in Boston may look back with regret. This move is good for Dallas in the long term, though not enough details are out for me to judge who "won" the deal.

Also, with Eriksson gone, this opens a spot for Iginla or Horton.

This is what I want. Fills the center void they don't have to rush Spooner but man I'm a fan of that deal.

I'm told there are 7 pieces to the Seguin-Eriksson trade. 3 prospects moving from Stars. 4 players total.
