16 games is a pretty small sample size. I'd be more concerned about injuries than that.

His numbers are pretty much in-line with what he did in Montreal, so I'm not as concerned with him being a product of the system. Brian Elliott on the other hand...

I would rather have Khudobin than Emery. Khudobin could have a great career ahead of him, while Emery is just a stopgap.

I think I would do that too. Emery is probably my #3 UFA option.

I'd be confident in a Mason/Emery tandem.

I dont want Halak

He's bad in the lockeroom and he struglles when he's asked to carry a heavy workload. AND hes injury prone.

Thomas
Emery
Nabakov

In that order...

A source close to the Hawks confirmed for me earlier this evening what is now all over Twitter, that Ray Emery will likely sign with the Flyers tomorrow.

I am not claiming to break this one—it's kind of old news—just confirming with a source close to the Hawks that it appears Emery will go to UFA tomorrow and sign with the Flyers.

I'm told the departure of goaltending coach Stephane Waite (Montreal) had some bearing on the decision.

One would think the Flyers are promising Emery 50+ games next year (if his hip can handle it). And good for Ray—as good guy and a warrior who can still play.

Chicago source...anyone know if he'a legit?

I read the comments for it and the Hawk fans seem to take it as true.

NHL Flyers as I have been reporting for a while now Flyers make Emery top Goalie priority. Flyers expected to sign Emery tomorrow.
10:10 PM - 4 Jul 13

First time I seen this guy was last night in the Giroux thread. Been following him all day and he's been spot on so far on a few things. And not over saturating twitter with nonsense either.

First one I've seen on twitter confirm Emery.

To me Emery is the number one option. If the team is looking into him it means something, b.c he's already been here once. Clearly they think he can gel if that is in fact the case.

The main factors are 1. his familiarity w the organization, 2. His contract and cap hit should be fairly reasonable (anywhere from 2-3M would be my guess), 3. Let's not forget that up until his injury last season, it was him and Crawford splitting time w no clear cut starter.

Taking this into account w all of the other "baggage"(for lack of a better word) around other options, I hope this is true.

I read in the Hawks comment thread that it was for 5 years...I don't think I would be comfortable with that.

I'm all for Razor's return and have advocated it, but wow I hope it's not 5 years.

My bad it wasn't Hawks thread, it was here and post number 7.

For what it is worth this is what I heard about an hour ago too.

Emery is going to be a Flier. It is a 5 year deal but I don't know the numbers.

Oh well there you go. A clear upgrade over Bryz.

He is terrible and has no sources

But the expectation since it was announced he was leaving FA was that Philly was his destination

I noticed that poster refer's to us as the Fliers a lot in the Bernier thread on the main boards a few weeks ago. I don't know if he's trying to be funny or if he's slow or something.

Anyway I highly doubt Rayzor is even setting the bar that high at 5 years.

I'm fairly confident that guy's just talking out his ***. I see a two-year deal for Rayzor.

That guy is molded from the hottest garbage on this planet.

Just plain awful....if he hit on something (and he's been trying for a LONG time) then he should immediately go buy some powerball tickets.

No one seems very high on Khudobin. A lot of people think he could go to the KHL if he doesn't get a starting job.
