Detroit Red Wings #4 Prospect

1.) Calle Järnkrok - 21, C/RW: 6'0" 176 lbs. Gävle, SWE 52.50%
2.) Petr Mrázek - 21, G: 6'1" 187 lbs. Ostrava, CZE 63.00%
3.) Tomas Jurco - 20, LW/RW: 6'2" 195 lbs. Kosice, SVK 74.16%

Jurco advanced handily. Tvrdon edged Marchenko as the add.

For those voting here please click the link below, it will take five seconds of your time to also vote for Flashy's GDT of the year vote. Taking on the dreaded Habs fan-base so every vote would really help and I know we get a lot of enjoyment out of all the time he puts in during the season, so please consider throwing a vote his way.

http://hfboards.hockeysfuture.com/sh....php?t=1461153

As usual vote for who you like and an add please, plus it seems we are getting closer to deeper discussion from here on out.

Sproul just ahead of Ouellet due to ceiling. Ouellet is much closer to being NHL-ready but Sproul could develop into a #1 D while Ouellet's ceiling is a good #2.

I will continue with Xavi, because I think Sproul will be more of an offensive guy (mike green'ish) but not as good overall defenseman as Xavi Ouellet

If I had a vote, I've vote Sproul here.

I guess the first few are typically easy and then it gets harder?

Edit: Add Greek Lightning, because come on now... GREEK LIGHTNING. Killer nickname yo!

Yup...

It will be difficult with Mantha though, I mean what do we really know about him... basically nothing, other than he's a skilled 2013 first rounder.

It's not by much, but I favor Ouellet here.

I think XO's offense is really downplayed a lot, he is pretty talented in terms of that aspect of the game and most of what you see him do should translate to pro hockey as well.

Agreed. Sproul didn't score many more goals than Ouellet did (in junior). Yet that's supposed to be Sproul's mindblowing skill.

I expect the Sproul and Mantha voters to be similar over the next couple years in terms of who throws major support behind them and glows over their play. Both physical specimens with huge upside.

I assume you're aware that Sproul did that despite missing 6 weeks right? Broken arm 7 games into the season.

Still basically tore the league up: "points (66), assists (46) and he tied for the league lead in goals at the position with 20."

That was basically the difference for me.

Also, reminder: Anyone voting in this thread and NOT voting for FlashyG in the Waffle Cup is a Turtling Claude Lemieux fan who probably also thinks Andrew Shaw is a swell guy!

We can't win if you don't vote, Candians Fans are like an endless wave.

Vote for Flashy. Rookie User cheers you on! (no vote for me sadly)

Sproul, despite him being so disadvantaged at 6' 4", if only he was 5'11" like Murphy

Seriously though XO is close because he is more polished but I can't ignore Sproul's massive potential.

Add Marchenko

Flashy was ahead for most of the first day; problem is afaict the Canadians fans all come and vote in massive blocks. 5-10 at a time.

So if Flashy is gonna win this, we either need constant pressure or to open up a HUGE lead and keep them from catching.

It's like a playoff series, but for nerd votes! #GenuinelyExcited #HateLosingAnything #KenDrydenIsTheMostOverratedGoalieInHockeyHistory

Ouellet had 21 goals the year before, though. Point is, the kid can score goals.

Sure sure, just making sure that was on the radar. Personally I think they're close; different style of player completely but very close as prospects.

I just voted Sproul because I think he was playing half the season at 80% and still scored 20. I'll vote XO next, I promise. He's the real deal, I just think Sproul is "the gospel truth"

This will be 51%-49% voting between Ouellet and Sproul. Went with Ouellet. He just has most "Lidström" in him.

Regardless who wins this poll can we all just agree that 2011 is shaping up to be a ****ing awesome draft for the Wings.

Tomas Jurco
Xavier Ouellet
Ryan Sproul
Alan Quine
Marek Tvrdon
Philippe Hudon
Mattias Backman
Richard Nedomlel
Alexei Marchenko

3-5 of them could end up being top 10 in the pool.
