That is so wrong.

All due respect, which one of Joel Ward, Sean Bergenhiem and Fernando Pisani have 108 games and 109 points in the Playoffs?

OLD , SMALL, OLD, SMALL

i like the dude, but this team is not going to get better by not adding tough boys in.

enough! why do they insist in this.

unless he does more and beefs up, this is sad.

Exactly I don't see what's so funny about that... If Briere was going to sign with a team of course he would want a NMC, he's 35 years old....

Get rid of Desharnais and Gionta...

Pacioretty - Plekanec - Briere
Galchenyuk - Eller - Gallagher
Bourque - XXX - XXX
Moen - White - Prust

Get two size guys in FA or trade for the third line and I would say that is pretty solid.

Someone needs to find an exorcist to get
Pierre Gauthier's spirit out of Bergevin's body...

i hope him and eller can get along lol. i'm sure that lil show at the face off stayed on the ice though, both class guys. although they both get feisty sometimes.

gio is injured too, and it's only 2 years. and time for more change before the new season. we'll see.

I don't understand all the overreaction !? We just signed a really good 2nd line player (Qc born on top of that) for 2 years at 4M$ and you guys s*** on the fact that he has a no-trade clause ? It's a 2 years contract ! Get over the fact that he choose Philly a couples of years ago ...

Welcome To Montréal Daniel !

I would love to be proven wrong by Briere and I'll be back to say I was wrong about this signing. We'll see in the playoffs.

Habs GM Marc Bergevin reached out to Flyers GM Paul Holmgren to get feedback on Briere. Holmgren had nothing but great things to say

Anyway if he's as bad as hfboard seems to think he'll be, he's gonna be booed and heckled so mercilessly that he will BEG to be traded away anywhere. The NTC is a non-issue indeed (see Erik Cole)

It's the contract in itself that is the mistake...

Playoff performer, replacing Ryder. Yes he's small but wait and see. Bergevin can't be done, he's preached size since he's got here.

Does anyone have that "Briere" gif, where he gets tossed out of the face off circle?

Here's my thought on it. Plekanec wouldn't be dealt unless an experienced centerman comes in. But why get a long-term guy when Eller and Galchenyuk will be ready in a few years? Cue Briere.

Look for a deal including Plekanec to STL for Perron and Stewart's rights (example).

Some guys want the next breaking news.
The media "machine" will try again to show us the (Habs) way.
IF little players go away before October, fine. Today, not fine.

And overall he replaced 2 years of Cole with 2 years of Briere. I'll take that transaction and put some cash back in the bank.

This is a filler deal, team won't be good for 3-4 years.
