It's funny cause if he turns out to be the player he was, everyone else would change their mind and praise Bergevin

That sucks, too. However, Briere does show up in the playoffs and DD doesn't. Small sample size, but Briere isn't being traded. RDS is probably pumping out articles like never about him.

It's sad and pathetic watching such a historic team getting bullied and pushed around. We have become the laughing stock of the NHL

Worst part about this for me is that this signing opened up nothing but disrespect and laughter towards the CH from not only the other fans, but you can guarantee around the league as well.

Gonna sign Gerbe next, Eller for Ennis, Eller traded cuz he is too big and is hurting his own players in practice.

Awards:
I remember when people *****ed about trading Cole for Ryder, stating that Cole was bigger... by two inches.

Now everyone would prefer retaining Ryder because... of the two inches he has on Briere.

Unbelievable.

Who cares about reports. You're not in the room. You don't know the true numbers. Don't throw a fit based on speculation.

ITT: people overreacting because we signed a small player.

God, it's 2 years at 4M. It's not this massive cap crippling mega deal or something to really whine about. I'm not thrilled but overall this signing is just not that big a deal either way.

Not to say that I would trade DD for him but you're delusional if you don't think a guy like Martin would help the habs. A younger, harder hitting Chris Neil (and not nearly as ugly).

Alright I think I'm calm now.

I'll wait and see what MB does tomorrow. I mean, Gordon can't be an option anymore. Habs pretty much need a heavy tomorrow, or else ****ing high schools teams will beat the **** out of us.

Think about this for a second. Ryder is not going to get much more than this and he is no worse defensively.

Last 4 years (playoffs 3/4):

45 games, 52 points

Last 3 years (playoffs 2/3):

22 games, 22 points

Last 2 years (playoffs 1/2):

11 games, 13 points

OMG FIRE THE GM FIRE THE GM. I AM SO WORRIED ABOUT SIZE I CANT SEE PAST MY NOSE. WE NEED RYDER, HE IS BIGGER.

Gotta give Briere a chance as a home town boy for coming home and being excited to play here. He's also been clutch in the post season. Still need get more size, but maybe Gionta is out indefinitely with the bicep injury. In that case it could be some good PP scoring and veteran leadership.

Props to Briere for having the balls to come play with the Habs here's to some clutch playoff goals in the next two years, they'd make me forget about burning the Habs for Philly way back in the day.
