Grabovski on his buyout:

"I play in the [expletive] Russian KHL, I make lots of [expletive] points and what's going to happen? He make me [expletive] play on the fourth line and he put me in the playoffs on the fourth line and third line again," Grabovski spewed. "Yeah, I don't score goals. I need to work more about that. I know that. But if you feel support from your coach [you'll find success]. I don't feel any support from this [expletive] idiot."

If Edmonton can get rid of Horcoff AND get a small asset, I think DD can be easily moved.

An update on Giroux deal I tweeted about earlier today... It's finalized now: 8 years, $66.2 M _ $8.275 M AAV. Includes full NMC

Good old Flyers: they signed Emery. They are going with a Mason Emery tandem.

One thing about the Flyers they're not afraid to throw money at players but this deal was expected for their best player.. How much will they throw at a goalie to replace Bryz I wonder?

He's available as a waiver pickup. Boston might claim him though. We know how much they love their tough guys.

Remains to be seen tomorrow. There's a thread on the main board.

Glad Nill didn't become GM in Montreal with the moves he's making.

Just read it.. Only speculation yet it seems like though..

So according to capgeek the Flyers have nearly $52M committed to 14 players for 2014-15 with no goalies signed and B.Schenn and Couturier needing new deals. I guess that additional $5M Pronger salary they can use will be very useful to them.

What's the point of the full NMC? This seems like the Lecavalier extension with the Lightning. Just give him what he wants and don't ask questions. He is a fantastic player though.

Yes and that also.. I meant to add that. Be interesting to see how much the cap will rise but the Flyers will take whatever they can get.. The Flyers though always seem to find a way.

There is always a market for centres. Look at Connolly a couple years ago.

In the last couple years, free agency season opening has been sort of heh. What makes it so hot this year coming into the official opening tomorrow? The lockout? Cap moving down?

Grabo is all heart and shows it every shift he plays. He's been an awesome teammate and some team will be very lucky to have him.

Only if he wants to. He was overpaid but he's still a good player, including a better one than the guy the Habs just signed.

I hate Grabovski but he's the kind of **** you love when he's on your team.

That ****ing attitude from Grabovski is what this team needs. Some ****ing "I'll proove to all of you that you were ****ing wrong". Grabovski on my team right now.

You know... I wouldn't mind it too much now. We might be able to sign him relatively cheap too. We no longer have the same organization as we did a while back, but we still remember the bad attitude he had when he wasn't getting the minutes he wanted in his first season. I believe he's matured seeing he took the 4th line job without making a peep.

I think he'll want to go to Detroit, for some reason. If we do get him, we'd have soo many centers, heh...

I don't see the Habs going for him though. We need wingers from the available market.
