Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger 3m

Expect Emery to sign with Flyers. Expect a 1 yr deal. Strategic move to establish starter role and bigger $$ down the road.

I seriously don't know how Reiger is going to move Miller.

If he's willing... I'm now hoping they re-sign him.

Hearing great things about the latest movie from the RigaSano Brothers..."Dru It in My Bri-Ear II: Left Ones Only" is being released at noon today. Expected to be released on DVD at the end of the 2014 season, for the remarkably low price of...FREE!

Cannot in my wildest imagination understand why Darcy is flirting with this exact situation again. Going into the season with either Miller or Vanek should be fireable. Going into the season with BOTH, should be commitable.

With that said...congratulations Darcy on matching Foligno's offer sheet and not accepting the 4 first rounders in return!

Completely agree. I want no part of this years crop. Prefer to just deal Vanek\Miller and load the coffers for UFA2014

Cullen interests me (someone similar to Ellis but better so that they can stay with the young guns in Buffalo)

Some other guys who I would consider to try and add to the rebuild or reclamation projects....

F Mason Raymond - He adds much needed speed and with more ice time. Scored 20 + once, and over 50 points once, Can he do that again?
- Not the top of my choices but wouldn't be upset if they signed him cheap.

F Matt Cullen - SEE ABOVE

F Boyd Gordon - Good bottom 6er who can play 2-way game.

D Toni Lydman - L handed shooting defenseman and Fin for perhaps pair with Risto

F Jaromir Jagr - See his work in Philly, At deadline he could be flipped for a pick to a contender

there is more but just a few to glance at. It is really a down year for free agents.

So, not only did Darcy box himself in with the #16 pick this year, he is being boxed in, in the Goalie market. SMH

A lot of one-year goalie deals...probably so they can all try to sign Miller next year and laugh at Darcy's demands.

I would imagine if teams could get a goalie for just a contract they would prefer that over trading assets for one.

Yeah and top elite FAs will want to sign with Buffalo next year because...?

It's laughable for anyone to think that we can "suffer" this year and be atrociously bad and then we will be able to sign any elite FA in 2014... Most players don't want to go to Buffalo even when the team is semi good, and now you think they will want to sign with a bottom 5 team? Especially when the new CBA took away the only advantage we had to signing free agents (Pegula buck$$$)

Your only hope of Getting any top free agent in the next year or two is to be somewhat competitive. I loved Schopp hearing yesterday how we should dump Vanek and Miller ASAP and be bad this year then go and sign the Sedins or someone like that

Oh and while your waiting for 2014 75% of those elite FAs will re-sign with their team. Your dreaming if you think any of those guys will ever sign here after a long season of suffering.

Reply1: I feel after drafting D at 8, (should of been Nish, huge mistake) we definitely did not need to use another high pick on D. Well when 16 came up, the BPA by far was Zadarov. Really had no other choice, thus boxed in. IMO

Reply2: Out waited the market. Again.

Andrew Ference with the first lolworthy signing of the day at 4 years, 3.25 per.

Have fun with him on your bottom pairing/in the pressbox in half a season, Edmonton.

Alfie 1 year/5.5 with Detroit.

Ouch Ottawa. That has to be a big kick in the gut. Why would Alfie wanna leave a team with the "best" dman?

How is taking the BPA boxing yourself in? This is a ridiculous twist of logic and I was ecstatic they passedon Nish.
