When/how do single game tickets go on sale?

Welcome all, I come in peace. Born and bred Winnipegger, lived in the Yukon for long enough to pick up this nic, now living in YEG.

Been frustrated that despite coming into the league two years ago, the Jets have never played here. So I was eagerly waiting for the schedule to come out, and was shocked to see that the Edmonton-Winnipeg game was the season opener.

When do individual game tickets go on sale, and what's the best chance at getting them? The Oilers website only unhelpfully says that they are for sale "soon".

Thanks for your help.

I haven't heard anything, but its a good bet to watch the stickied ticket exchange thread.

Also I believe the Oilers also play the Jets in Edmonton in December near xmas if you don't get tickets to the opener.

I think they usually go on sale in late August but I could be wrong.

i believe its in the last week of every month they release the single tickets avail for the coming month. i have often seen the ads in the papers "february game single seat tickets now released"/

its the last choice option of the oilers. the oilers sell season tickets then an assortment of 8 different package options, then pairs...singles are a last priority and normally they will add in any of the package game seats that havent been sold for that month.

Its probably tough luck because the home opener is always popular and big demand for that game for some reason typically.

I'm sympathetic, its a joke what the schedule has been the last couple years and the teams not playing each other.

Oilers/Jets go back all the way baby. 1972.

Went to all home games in the AVCO cup final that you guys won...

Thats going back awhile.

I do think its fitting that the Jets/Oilers are the season opener. Long time coming to see that matchup again. Look forward to a rivalry.
