He literally just Sundin'd us. I don't know if I will respect him anymore. Not only did we lose a very solid player, we lost a huuuuuuuuuuuge part of our leadership in the dressing room, mentoring for our countless rookies, and even more. I would not be surprised to see us fail to reach expectations next season if we don't sign anyone. Losing a top 6 F and a top 4 D who played like a Norris contender is rough, not to mention when they're both vets with a huge presence off-ice on a team full of youngsters.
This is worse than Sundin. Toronto media hounded him because he didn't want to be moved out of Toronto, he was hounded until he whimpered and left for Vancouver.
I'm so fuc..in piss, i really don't know what to feel toward Alfie's decision.
A part of me is like....rot in hell i hope you miserably fail in DET hope Kassian beat the **** out of you when they'll met next season.
There is this other part of me which is like screw you Alfie i really hope we sign Clarkson trade for Kane and win the cup and put it right under your face while drinking all your salty tears of regrets, and there is the one small part of me who try to reason my heart, act mature and say hey it was a great ride wish you the best. But then i go back to the first reaction and the cycle start again.
