Tatar - Helm - Abdelkader
Miller - Andersson - Samuelsson

Emmerton
Eaves

Ericsson - Kronwall
Quincey - Smith

So, we've probably made our splash for a little while now. Early predictions?

Datsyuk - Zetterberg - Alfredsson
Franzen - Weiss - Abdelkader
Nyquist - Helm - Samuelsson
Tatar - Andersson - Eaves

Kronwall - Ericsson
Kindl - DeKeyser
Smith - Quincey

Howard
Gustavsson

Zetterberg - Datsyuk - Alfredsson
Franzén - Weiss - Nyquist
Tatar - Helm - Abdelkader
Miller - Andersson - Eaves

Is what I want with the current roster.

Zetterberg-Datsyuk-Alfredsson
Franzen-Weiss-Nyquist
Tatar-Helm-Eaves
Miller-Andersson-Abdelkader

Kronwall-Ericsson
DeKeyser-Smith
Quincey-Kindl

Howard
Gustavsson

If they can stay healthy the forward group looks very strong, on paper the D seems shaky but assuming the young guns continue to improve and the other guys (Kronner,Rig, KFQ) can continue growing into their new roles it may well be quite solid.

For forwards I'd like to see:

Z - Pavs - Alfie
Mule-Weiss-Nyquist
Tatar - Andersson - Jurco
Miller - Sheahan - Abdelkader

Emmerton
Eaves
Helm - LTIR
Bert - LTIR
Sammy - LTIR

That's a solid mix of skill - three legit scoring lines
Some size in Mule, Jurco, Andersson, Sheahan, Miller and Abby
A big, physical 4th line that can forecheck like crazy
Emmerton and Eaves are perfect as injury replacements

No idea what to make of Helm. Bert and Sammy are done, obviously.

100% agreed. The forward corp looks much improved. You could even slot in Bert for Eaves or Miller (probably Eaves though) if you wanted.

I'd love to see Jurco get a chance to earn a spot. The AHL playoffs were eye opening in terms of his abilities.

If Weiss and Alfredsson have average seasons, we should be a seriously good team. So much better than last year it's not even close, and we get a new arena in a few years as well!

I really like the lineup.

Top 6 forwards are finally legitimate. The third line will be crucial. 4th line is a 4th line.

Our D, on paper doesn't look the strongest. But they did good last year, and if Smith/Dekeyser can continue to improve it'll be legit. Z + D are amazing two way players, Weiss is no slouch, and our 3rd line is pretty responsible.

I hate leaving Q-Smith together, but Kindl needs to be in Top 4 and he needs a solid defensive partner in DeKeyser.

Well seems like they are on Morrow if it makes you happy.

Though it's from Kypreos so take it with grain of salt.

Wings already only have $2.3m cap space and still need to sign Nyquist/Smith/Andersson though so they already need to clear space as it is

Somehow we were top 5 so as long as we dont regress too much we should be fine.

Anyone else get the impression that Holland is recreating last year's team with different players?
Flip --- Weiss
Brunner ---- Alfredsson
Cleary ---- Morrow

The only guy I see as a real upgrade is Morrow
