2-way deal is fine. My head always hates the Cam signings, but my heart loves them.

He can come up and kick some ass. I guess we're not counting on Clowe to take too many. Which is good. I know Clarkie thought he could stop fighting and play hockey. Clowe actually can play hockey. So this is good for that aspect.

Fine move.

He had whole 5pts for the little Devils last season. Really... Albany could use the scoring help

The mere fact that there is a possibility for him to ever be in the lineup annoys me. Even if its just for a few games.

you're going to be happy to have him some games. Double shift your other guys after he's done.

This was his last play on NHL ice last season and I thought for sure it would have likely been the last one of his career - gotta love the roar from Cam during impact

He'll likely spend most of his time in the AHL, Barch is our top goon when needed

There are times where I'd rather have Volch slotting in at forward, but every now and then he pisses off the Flyers/Rangers enough to be worth the on-ice circus associated with his game.

Meh. I think the role of players like Cam is largely extinct. He's just not needed. I guess ultimately its not that big a deal. I just wish they would realize you don't need an "enforcer" anymore. Well not IMO.

Don't mind Lou bringing him and Pelley back for AHL duty. In the absolute worst-case scenario where over half our starting lineup is injured, I'd rather they be playing than some AHL guys that don't even belong.

*cough cough*

If we had done this before UFA started then I might have panicked. I'm totally fine with this, and he likely doesn't see any NHL time unless something happens to Barch and we need his presence. He probably tried to look for work elsewhere, but didn't find any so Lou took him back. He probably knows he'll be in the AHL, so it's no big deal. We don't have any room for him anyway as long as Barch is around.

Take a look at our AHL roster, we need forwards

Depth down there is especially needed for the purpose of their season with guys getting injured and called up

This is largely an AHL move as would the Pelley deal be should it turn true

Lol I'm fine with this. Will be fun to throw him out there once or twice next season just to beat the piss out of people.

2-way deal, I'm fine with it. I was just worried it was an NHL deal when I saw that we signed him...

I don't mind Janssen in the AHL.

But deep down I just know he will make the team.

There's no room unless Barch is in the minors.

I don't think he'll make the team this year. We already have to get rid of one of Tedenby, Josefson, Olesz, Gionta. No place that Janssen fits in that lineup.

If we are going to sign AHL caliber players can't we sign better ones the the Cam Janssens and Tim Sestitos of the world...

We might need AHL fodder but that's just bad depth.

Hahaha I laugh my ass off every time I hear him roar

Anybody who's actually upset about this is absurd.

Cam in the lineup every now and then is a good thing, brings energy and toughness, especially important considering Carter is pretty much our only player that can fight...maybe Bernier and Salvador

Our team is complete guys!!! Lou is a wizard!!!

Seriously though I do like the guy, but I really doubt unless there are injuries and Pete wants to have some circus fun with the Rags we will see him up here.

Every good team has their enforcers to throw in every now and then though. Look at the past Cup champs: Chicago-Bollig, LA-Clifford, Boston-Thornton, Chicago-Eager, Pitt-Godard, Detroit-Downey, Anaheim-Parros...I could keep going.

I love enforcers, part of the game.

barch will get three times as many games as him, and barch will play under 20 games. i'm not worried.

if tedenby and josefson are going to make the team with pesonen and others being occasional call ups, albany needs lots of forwards. here's one of them.
