From playing for his hometown team to division rival.

Garbage. Complete garbage. Worst 3.5 mill ever spent in predators history.

So we go into draft and free agency needing to SCORE. we come out with Seth jones, stalberg and garbage- I mean Cullen.

We are the laughing stock of the NHL.

At least we will get another top five pick. Maybe top three now. How's this crop of draft eligibles looking??

I completely fail to see where Cullen fits in our current roster of forwards. Another move has to be coming, or this is a complete waste of time.

So, Nashville. Now we're even, right? No hard feelings?

Good luck to Cully though. First class person, and an underrated hockey player. Wild was leading the division, and the wheels fell off the moment Cullen got injured. He made our second line go.

Seems pointless to me. Does Nashville really need him? I don't think so. The contract isn't bad but there's no need IMO.

I love Cullen and have wanted him in Buffalo for years and again we don't get him. I'm actually really surprised he left Minnesota at his age. Thought he'd retire there honestly. He can still play so he must want to cash in and Nashville made a good offer. Again though, don't see why. He's a good third line center, a veteran who has a Cup ring, and a guy who can chip in occasional offense but Nashville already has players like him minus the Cup. I don't see why he was needed. Confusing signing. I don't know what to think of it other than for another veteran with playoff experience who has won it all before.

Cullen was one of the Wild's best forwards last year. Slight overpayment, but its free agency, what'd you expect?

Streaky player. Very light, meaning he gets knocked down a lot. Didn't earn his salary with the Wild. Decent last year, under-performed each of the prior two. A lot of money for a geezer. But he does work hard, seems to be a good guy and liked by teammates.

Cullen will be a decent fit for Nashville. He can play the PP (even can play the point if needed), the PK and can play all 3 forward positions. Probably not the top 6 guy Preds fans were hoping for but he's just a solid all-around player.

uhhh Cullen had more points than Stalberg last year so maybe you should be calling him garbage.
I can't wait to bump this thread in 7 months.

Nailed it. Really don't see a point in this signing.

Cullen is overpaid for sure. Thought he was at the end of his career but may help PP

Nystrom is overpaid for sure, he got Prust money which was bad as is. he was on waivers a few yrs ago

Hendricks is a good 4th liner but at 1.8 eeek

Stalberg has the most potential but 3 million is a little much for him too.

Atleast they get some players in but they are going t need to grind out wins with G and a stacked D

Solid signing. Wild would have kept him if they could have.

Even if they had the money, I can't see Fletch paying him that much dough. He helped the Wild last year, but he disappeared a lot the year before. Streaky and not worth 3.5 mil.
