I'm quite underwhelmed by the return, but the fact is this needed to be done. I guess I'm just disappointed there was no center/dman coming back.

I'll be rooting for Bobby, that guy is one hell of a talent. It was just never going to work out for him here.

I kinda dig this. Always liked Silfverberg. Also like the cap relief this gives us. Will have to wait until the dust settles, but right now I'm cool with this.

Noeson:
Quote:
Although his offensive game is considered raw at this point he offers an interesting package of size, skating, competitiveness and feistiness. He presents a challenge to the opposition with his determined, high-energy style and was compared to Anaheim Ducks Corey Perry by the Bryan Murray.
High praise from the other BM.

Shocked, and then a little disappointed Z wasn't coming back(although Soj makes a good point about our young centers). But, after reading more about Noesen(knew little about him before), I'm ok with it. If we use the space to get Grabovski, then I'll definitely be on board.

TSN just raved about the trade for us. Said it was a good hockey trade in both directions.

I like it so long it is parlayed with bringing in a 2nd line center.

As an Islanders fan i thought the Ducks won this trade. Silfverberg is going to be a stud.

It feels weird...but I think I like it. Two good prospects and a first round pick...and it sounds like we are going after Roy now too.

I like the trade
Big fan of silfverberg, has a great shot.... should be a good top 6 winger, noesen gives us some wing depth/options. And who noes what happens with the first pick.

Im glad ryan is out of anaheim, he was always over shadowed here, and never got a huge chance to play to his full potential, i think hell have the best season of his career this year, but that was never going to happen for him in anaheim.

Also frees some money for another potential signing/move... If they really want to make me happy theyll move souray.

I'm feeling better about this as well, as I think silver whatever has a much better motor in him than Ryan. More bullets with the pick as well. I'm somewhat satisfied now that I've thought it over. Glad it's done with.

I really like Noesen. Not a huge fan of Silf. Guess we just gotta root for the Sens to absolutely suck next year.

All in all the value isn't bad, but Bobby was my favorite player so I'm a little upset.

Silfverberg will be better than Ryan in 2 years IMO. And he's much cheaper now. Good trade

If silfverberg doesnt come in as an immediate threat on the 2nd line, next year is a complete wash.

1 NHL ready player for bobby Ryan? Ya this has Punk'd written all over it.

Good trade for both teams... We needed cap space and Sens needed to make a splash after Alfie left. The need for this board to make a "winner" and "loser" for each trade is so annoying.

If you knew anything about Silf and Noesen, you'd be very happy with this trade.

If this deal works out great for us, I think we'll have to send a thank-you-note to Alfie. Looks like his sudden departure has forced Bryan Murray's hand.

Happy the Ryan-saga has come to an end. It was enough. Best of luck to him, though.

Am happy with it, Bobby was on the way out and we got 2 good young Players who will play in the NHL. Very curious about Silfverberg how is fitting in to our team.

Do not know much about Noesen. But theres a reason he's on the way to us. Hope to get more to know about him soon.

Well done!

Ryan's a tad overrated.

Good young two-way player. Not going to be surprised if he gets nominated to the Selke Award for several seasons down the line.

i'll say that i dont really know anything about these 2 prospects.

BUT, it gives us some nice cap space which if we use to get a 2nd line C then i'll be very very happy

On more thing about Silfverberg. So far in his carrer, he has always played his best in the big games. In the playoffs 2012 in Sel he scored 13 goals and 20p in 17 games.

Here is the winning goal in the last game. It is 3.45 in to the clip. Look at that release.
