I find Bergevin pretty baffling.

We needed an enforcer and he'll be a lot more useful than BGL. Good acquisition IMO.

He's a declining fighter in his 30s, could end up being a lot like Laraque. Albeit the team has much less commitment to him.

only 1 year at 900k , super nice guy in the looker room ( from rumors ) , great teammate , won't make a drama if he's a healthy scratch...nothing to do with BGL

He fought most of the top HW last year, I believe he had 9 fights in 40 some games.

The Habs paid next to nothing(Lefebvre was dumping a contract) in a 7th rounder similar to Ottawa with Kassian. His cap hit is low enough that if he ever flops you can waive him and have almost no cap hit(37k).

Having a guy like him against Ottawa Boston Buffalo and Toronto is well worth it. You can sit him 30-40 games against non tough teams. Having him here might get Moen playing with more of an edge knowing he doesn't need to fight top guys.

I'm happy with this deal too. It cost us nothing. Parros will allow Prust to survive the season. We play him against Bruins, Sens, Leafs, and Philly and it'll be worth it. With White, Prust and now Parros, we have more players who can step up when necessary. Hell, maybe with Parros arriving, Moen goes back to being the player he can be. They were teammates in Anahem.

Also that stache!

Welcome to Montreal Parros.

Aparantly Prust is happy as Hell by this by the comments he made on Twitter. Poor Brandon, he deserves the Break!

We need someone. Not the best guy maybe, but he is under contract for another year. Good enough for now.

They really should just tie parros' mustache into a bow and present him on prust's doorstep.

How is he a joke? We have a HW enforcer so clowns like Neil McLaren Orr and co are not sucker punching our skill players. Everybody can play 3 inches bigger against those teams. Prust won't have to fight HW's and Moen either, maybe he'll go back to playing a gritty, physical game.

Yep because those teams all GOT BETTER by getting those guys and losing NOBODY.

I never understood this line of thinking. You really think that with Parros sitting on the bench Orr doesn't take a run at pleks' knee? You think Orr gives a **** about Parros? Or you think Neil or Mclaren or whoever are afraid of him? They've all taken lots of punches to the head, they don't care about another 3-4.

This is all true and it can't be as big a disaster as BGL.

But remember how happy this place was when they got Laraque. It was a party.

I hope he calls on Neil first. There are not enough words in the English language (check that... all the languages) for how much I hate Toaster Head.

The line of thinking is, taking a run at someone and having to take a other 3-4 punch, make you think about 2 sec more then taking a run and having not to take any. Does its really work not sure...

Makes no dif to me. If he sucks, we traded such a terrible prospect for him. Honestly, we get a big body who can play in the NHL for someone who never will. 1 year deal, no problem. Maybe he'll be motivated on contract year too.

Some people say he had a poor year in Florida, but really, imagine how difficult it is to get pumped up playing for that dreadful team in that graveyard of an arena. The Bell Centre will get him jumping.

I like Chris Neil. You hate him when you have to play against him, but he is a good player. Fights, hits, and scores now and then.
