because 5'11 Asham can bang with anyone in the league?
Parros is 6'5 and can fight ANYONE. 47 fights in the last 3 years btw.

From Gaston Therrien: Philippe Lefebvre est un EXCELLENT joueur de hockey.....

I do remember, I wanted him to get a contract based on a development camp. He deserved it. But at one point, you come to the conclusion that he wasn't even helpful in Hamilton.

I love the trade.

If we are getting Talbot this means Moen is out?

Good job Bergevin. Much needed enforcer to help out Prust. Now we need to get bigger with talent on the wings and on defence.

Halpern leaving meant we needed another Princeton grad.

Ha very true.

Wont lose much money.

He can go sign cards at a car dealership or sports store and make his money back.

Yeah. Theres something to be proud of here.
Ottawa lost Alfredson and Silvfergberg
Toronto lost Grabovski and MacArthur
Detroit lost Filpulla
Boston lost Horton and Seguin

Its not like those teams added all those players and lost nothing.

Either way, it's a need that Bergevin addressed. Not a world mover, but something that needed to get done IMO, and for literally nothing.

I love it...he will give support to prust who can play his game on not worry about fighting the heavies...Parros knows his role which will be limited...He will also be a good guy in the dressing room (Character)

He'll cost us more on the ice than armstrong, but a hell of a lot more entertainment value. And maybe we'll be sure not to play our 4th line as much this year.

Actually that alone might make us a better team...

I like it. Very minor move, of course, but it's main impact will be saving Prust from having to be our main enforcer. For that alone, it's worth it.

He hurts the ability to play the 4th as a real line when in the lineup, so there is a real opportunity cost to the team here.

But not so bad for if you only want to play him for games your worried will turn into gong shows

I actually like this deal tbh. I knew MB would add a tough guy. Not the absolute best fighter, but he'll do. Plus he's a character guy, something MB values above all else apparently

I'm guessing the fans that were complaining that Briere was too soft are now going to complain that Parros isn't skilled enough? Or something?
