Decent trade I guess. You're not going to find anyone with comparable toughness who are going to be much better. He'll make a good 13th forward. We didn't give up much.

Absolutely. But remember what Bergevin said. There are 2 things you have to do.....being a better team in the regular season. And being a better team in the playoffs. Parros serves the purpose in the regular season....Brière for the playoffs. I guess it means that...Bergevin is done....

Summer isn't over people. Let's wait.

Let him take on Lucic every time and take Lucic off the ice for 5 minutes every game.
Totally agree. Fans have NO IDEA how tough this job is.

In no universe is Parros better than Armstrong. If you gave Parros the role Armstrong had last year the Habs would have been slaughtered every time the 4th line was on the ice.

That being said if he can keep Prust from getting concussions and give the fans some bread and circus, he will serve a role. But icing Parros means more minutes for the top 9.

That's the good thing about Parros. He won't care.

Anyway, we added Brière and Parros. Lost Ryder, Armstrong, Kaberle and Weber. I'm ok with that.

Problem is, the idea is to get better.

It's a good move for what it is boys. There are just like no reasons to whine about this. We don't give anything. And we get a guy who our entire team is PLEASE to have, especially Prust but others much smaller guys as well. It's a team's pleaser.

Yes, we won't finish 1st because of it but to each their own. Each trade has a purpose and this trade serves one.

"We need a heavyweight 4th liner "

-Get Parros for nothing

"waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah goon/useless/another kostopolous waaaaaaah :cry"

LOVE this move. Little cost, gauranteed toughness and good role player. Parros doesn't usually take stupid penalties, he knows his role. Anyone who complains about this move is either contridicting themselves from before, or are simply out to lunch. While we still need a move that will give us size in the top6, getting a heavyweight is a important, albeit small step towards building a winner. Deal with it whiners.

Armstrong is a way better player than Parros. No where close.

It will protect Proust. Although the Habs also had an advantage that Proust was a hockey player in the lineup facing teams wasting ice time on fighters.

Very happy with this deal. A 7th and a minor prospect for some toughness and protection. Great trade.

Except that he won't because he's probably all done and he probably never in a million years wanted to come here.

He ain't what he use to be but he can still hold his own. Prust now doesn't have to jump weight class and get busted up.

I like this move. Nothing earth shattering, but good. Serves much more of a purpose than Armstrong did
