No, hence a lot of teeth nashing on if they should get VL4 and he's not really needed.

I still have chest pains from yesterday's action. Glad the Stars aren't doing much today.

This off-season has been so exciting and action packed, the next 2-3 months are going to be rough with the relative lack of news. May be some other moves made but compared to the last month or so, it's going to be a long wait until things get going.

You guys make it seem like Eriksson was on the market, that isn't how I take it. I take it as we were on the market for a #1C and to acquire that piece it took Eriksson. Why trade Eriksson for a bunch of futures to Ottawa?

Looks like the Habs got the Mustachioed Pugulist Parros.

Think we're going to see more Bottom 6 movement now.

Nill said in an interview on the Ticket I think that he inquired about Seguin like a month ago, and then asked if they would have interest in Eriksson. It was probably a situation where Eriksson wouldn't be moved unless it's for a top flight center.

Nill on the ticket earlier-

-sees Seguin-Pevs-Horcoff as our top 3 centers, in order of course
-Very high on Chiasson, mentions him in the same breath as Benn, Dillon, Seguin
-Says he likes where the team is at now, and probably won't make anymore moves unless another GM comes to him with a trade
-Says Nichushkin will most likely start with the big club
-Said "excited" at least 7 times

Wonder where that leaves Eakin....back to the AHL? Centering the 4th line with Fiddler on the wing?

Maybe see Fiddler gone?

Where they put Chiasson will be interesting. If I would guess, I'd say second line with Whitney and Peverly. Chiasson and Whitney had super awesome chemistry.

We needed a number one center and Loui was one of our most attractive assets due to his contract. We started speculations based on him primarily based on the idea that he was the only piece we could leverage into a 1st line center. It also happens that we were roughly right. Seguin is future? Maybe. Just barely. Huge upside if he gets his head straight however. If not, he is still better than we have had in a while. Raptor Jesus is just a solid player if his wheels get going. If not, he is smart and solid but not special.

Well considering what Nill said about Horcroff.......

I'm not sure if Eaks every played wing, but it'd be a travesty if they sent him back down (though I would love to watch him play down here again).

I'm guessing Eakin moves to the wing. So the top 9 would be something like

Benn-Seguin-Toaster/Nichushkin
Whitney-Pevs-Nichushkin/Chiasson
Eakin-Horcoff-Cole

I can't see any way to justify sending Ginger to the A

Someone has already stated that Eakin can play wing.

That's disturbing because it doesn't mention Eakin at all, who was one of our best players last year I thought. He is definitely a center in my mind. Hmm. I am not going to freak out, but I am going to have to work at it.

Eakin should be 2C and Peverley 3C or a winger, and take PK draws.

Glad we passed on Nystrom at that, but something tells me he would have taken less to stay here. Doesn't sound like Nill was interested.
