If there are more moves left, you would think they would be:
Is there a way to find a veteran/2-way/faceoff guy, versatile enough to move up and down lines and play C and W, for cheaper than Chris Kelly? Maybe, but the B's would have to LOVE that guy, because they clearly appreciate Kelly in a major way.
I'd like Zack Smith on OTT, and obviously the Bruins have a history of trading with OTT, so trading Kelly there (plus a prospect/pick combo) would make sense for both teams, because:

1.Boston gets cap space with Smith
2. OTT gets a known quantity, vet leadership with Kelly to replace Alfie's loss
3. Both have similar terms
4. Prospect/picks with Kelly would help replenish OTT after trade for Bobby Ryan
5. Smith has some upside, esp with faceoffs (was in the top 30 last year) Big kid, skates decent, and seems to always score in front of the net.

The Canadiens have spoken with Jagr, and there's interest on both sides. Ball is in MTL's court right now.

Good. He stunk here and I want a reason to hate him.

That would be weird.

I saw a quote from Jagr (interview maybe) of him saying he;s always wanted to play in Canada. Maybe this is his last stop?

I love July and August but I am really looking forward to Camp in mid September- it's as if we have gone from the frenzy on the ice to one off. I just wish we had held on to that lead and see how both teams responded to no Bergeron on that 7th game. Damn sad not knowing how it would have all played out but the story line would have been right out of Hollywood and probably the game would have been a great one win or not

I'd sure love a 'do over' this coming year. As disappointed as I was at the ending I could watch these teams play each other over and over again.

Not sure if this was already posted in here, but former Stars backup goaltender Richard Bachman has signed with the Edmonton Oilers.

I think about that to. The team came out jumping in the first period of game 6 and I am pretty sure Bergeron playing through the pain was a big factor in their motivation. There would have been a real win it for Bergy mentality in game 7. They played a really strong game in game 6 and probably deserved a better fate but sometimes the breaks go your way and sometimes they don't.

As much as I think KELLY's under appreciated, I like SMITH's game a lot and the cap savings are well worth making this deal.

Use the extra space and offer Damien "BRUINER" a contract...

MARCHAND-BERGERON-ERIKSSON
SODERBERG/CARON/CAMARA/R. SMITH/FRASER or SPOONER-Z. SMITH-BRUNNER

SODERBERG or CARON

CHARA-BOYCHUK
SEIDENBERG-HAMILTON
KRUG/BARTKOWSKI or MORROW-MCQUAID

Derek Roy signs with the St. Louis Blues.

The Blues now have 15 forwards under contract and Stewart is a RFA. You've got to think that they will be looking to make a trade.

Don't get me wrong, I would like that too. It would just be interesting to see them as teammates after that face to face conference

How is Cowen an RFA?

And there can't be any way Ottawa would let him get away.

#Sens Jared Cowen is an RFA. His contract did not slide in 2010-11 by mutual agreement of NHL & NHLPA. No explanation as to why at present.

Most impressed by LaRose there. You can definitely see why he is a fan favorite in Carolina.

No chance we add Cowen. He is staying in Ottawa or leaving the division.

I agree. There are good internal candidates for that spot and it will be interesting to see who grabs the job out of training camp.

That would be a terrible trade for Philly.

Why would the Flyers want another center? Although I could see the interest from Montreal. They love Beaulieu but Simmonds is exactly the player they need.

I loved Morrow, but his time is past. He has been a shadow of the player he used to be the past couple of years, and just has nothing left in the tank

It's not like we are a young team like Edmonton who might desperately need a character guy for the locker room.

That's been one way I've coped with the way Game 6 ended. With a banged up or absent Bergeron (collapsed lung), banged up Horton, Chara, Seids, Jagr... even if they'd have managed to hang on and win game 6, I think it's very unlikely the B's would have been able to win game 7.
