Almqvist picking up his 3rd assist of the night as well, 2 of which were on the PP. If we don't intend on keeping him he could become a very nice trade piece this deadline/draft.

Yeah. Callahan scored right before the end of 2nd. Think it was assisted by Evans and Almqvist

7-1 absolute gong show.

This is going to get ugly in the 3rd. Thankfully the Griffs have some tough guys to keep things from getting too dangerous.

There's already been a couple scrums, it's been chippy, but the tough guys are doing their job.

GR is going to tear it up this year, even if Nyquist is called up shortly.

Couple comments from the game before I go to the bar.

Marchenko looked like the best defenseman on the ice to me. I was very impressed at his two way game, and his play at even strength.

Jarnkrok looked underwhelming, but I think he'll get better.

Nyquist tormented the Amerks D all night. He has absolutely nothing left to gain from AHL hockey.

Neither Almqvist or Sproul looked great individually at ES, but as a pairing they worked together well. On the PP they are lethal though.

Ouellet didn't really stand out in any way

Jurco looks good but he definitely needs to get stronger and develop more physically

Tvrdon and Pulkkinen generated very little offense

Sheahan looked solid, I would put him as the #1 center over Jarnkrok. When Sheahan was out there with Nyquist they had a great weave going.

Talked to Frk and Nedomlel on my way out of the arena, since they did not dress for the game. Both really nice guys. Nedomlel is HUGE.

Yeah we wish he left the AHL too buddy. But nice to see Blahill is going to torture teams with him.

Lines look like:
Hoggan-Glendening-Pulkkinen
Jurco-Järnkrok-Nyquist
Sheahan-McIntyre-Frk
Grant-Nestrasil-Callahan

Ouellet-Paetsch
Evans-Marchenko
Almqvist-Sproul

Coreau in goal, McCollum as the back-up.

1-0 Toronto.

1-1. Jurco free in front, from Nyquist and Marchenko.

Sproul's speed is pretty sick. He's had 2 or 3 coast-to-coast rushes in the first 15 minutes.

2-1. Sheahan from a Glendening rebound. Lots of line mixing going on...

Sheahan scores on a rebound off a Glendening shot, 2-1 griffs.

Griffins top line is swarming.

What a turnaround period.

First shots for Marlies 7-0, Griffs were still dreaming about yesterday. Then they took the charge and outshot Marlies 14-4 later in the period and turned it from 1-0 --> 1-2.

Marlies 2-2 on the PP. Back to back penalties from the Griffins.

Another PP for Toronto, Callahan to the box for boarding. Soft.

Toronto 3-2. Griffins are lost right now.
