Minnesota is seriously lacking a solid PP QB. Kuba, Schultz, Heid, Michalek, Roche, and Zyuzin all could TURN out to be a PP QB but I have doubts that they will since they weren't really groomed that way in the Wild system or else where or failed miserably from the pressure in Zyuzin's case.
I want a legit, solid PP QB, defense can be taught too by Lemaire.

Make an offer.
Would either Mironov or Malakhov interest you.
Salary paid in full of course.
PM Bouchard is an interesting scenario but they haven't been utilizing him in the preseason on the PP very much. I have heard also arguments that he wouldn't make a solid PP QB, I forget why, I think partly because of his shiftness and the lack of a solid release when shooting the puck. I think he can lead and could PP QB, but I would like to get a blueliner in there to have Bouchard help cause havok up front without having to lead the PP.
What? You said PP QB... That's pretty much what he is. Hey BTW he bulked up this summer and started delivering some hits at camp. See? He's the best thing for your team. We won't even ask too much in return because we like the Wild so much... How could you turn that down?
Columbus has three D (Sydor, Spacek, Klesla) that can play the point (with Johnson waiting in the wings for a few years), along with Cassels. A case could be made for Walser, but he hasn't had the chance at the pro level yet. Out of those five players, only Spacek or Walser would be leaving anytime soon, and that's probably not going to happen with Spacek unless it's a very good deal. Walser has learned how to play D according to those that have seen him in camp, he'll learn more under Lemaire no doubt. A mid-level (4th) pick or low level prospect would suffice.
I think Nick Schultz can be the PP qb, you have to give him the ice time and watch him develop. He has a very high skill level.
I agree. The Wild have a solid PP QB he's just not developed yet. Schultz is only 21 with light years of potential ahead of him. Schultz, Kuba and Zyuzin can be a productive goup of d-men.
I agree that Schultz could develop into a solid pp quarterback, but if you want one right now there is always Tverdovsky out there. And if you're really despereate there is also Berard.
Question, why don't you just respond to the proposal? Sorry if I'm not up to date with the Wild goaltending depth and what they would have available to take over as the backup if Fernandez is moved.
We picked up Holmqvist and have the same problem as the Blues because now we have Roloson, Fernandez, and Holmqvist. Johnson would kind of be redundent.
And no I don't think Schultz is going to be moved.
