Party time!!!!

McCaron will have a bigger offensive role with fellow 1st round picks Horvat and Domi, the ability to fight atleast 10 times and an NHL type scedule.

Still waiting for confirmation from the man himself but since it seems all but official, I'm very happy. Honestly, I don't know if he could have gone wrong with either route though. Both good programs with good hockey people in charge.

Selfishly I'm happy because I can actually watch him play now.

My concern is that the Hunters may not give him top line/pp minutes. Andy Murray was deadset on giving him every opportunity to become a offensive power forward.

However, the Hunter's have a great success rate with quality NHL prospects.

I kinda feel divided

If he chooses London, he must have had some guarantee of playing time.

You've been traded to the Minnesota board for character. Sorry.

The general feeling is that McCarron will play top-six minutes in London, possibly even on the first line.

I guarantee you the Knights didn't invest their pick in him (and whatever else they gave up to "convince" him) to play him in their bottom six.

I love how everybody reports it as official when there were NO comments made by any team implicated or the man himself.

Great decision. Love Dale Hunter and what he does with good young players.

Western Michigan would not have been a bad choice though, always liked Andy Murray.

There's an article up on TSN now about it now.

The article on TSN refers to an article in the London press who states something like "McCarron is EXPECTED to". Yes...most likely, that's gonna happen, but nothing is official yet.

65 Games in OHL vs 28 in NCAA. No question, the right move.

Anyone have an idea how their top 9 will look? They have so many high picks on their roster.

And games where he can fight. And London is hosting the Mem Cup, so it will be a long ride on a powerhouse team.

Glad he'll be in the OHL. Nothing against the NCAA route in general, but for this player at this juncture in time, I'm just happy with the OHL decision.

28 in the NCAA? Whoa, last time I checked how many games players in the NCAA play during a full season, it was a little bit more than 28.

Don't know how exactly, but they are stacked, and I doubt any of their first rounders this year will play in the NHL. Maybe Domi will surprise because of the lack of offence on Phoenix, but I doubt it. I'd expect McCarron to start on the 3rd line.

It's more like about 40. Plus tourney games and things, I suppose. But he'll still double that with London on a long playoff run and Mem Cup.

I'm reasonably certain that all the reports of him going to London are based on that Stormin Norman tweet, and nothing else.

You really believe the London Free Press, TSN, etc are publishing articles based on a tweet from one guy named "Stormin Norman"? Come on.
