Andrighetto to play in Hamilton next season!

http://www.tdg.ch/sports/gshc/Andrig...story/11675166

Article is in french, but states that Andrighetto is leaving his Swiss team after signing a 3 year deal in December to play for Hamilton in the AHL. He had an out clause dependent on him being drafted by an NHL club.

**** just got serious.

Happy for him. Will be cheering for his success. He might start in the ECHL, though. NO biggie.

For my English-speaking friends:

Quote:
As we wrote early last week, Sven Andrighetto won't join Servette, despite a three-year contract signed in December. The Zurich forward had taken care to include a release clause in case he would be chosen by an NHL team. Selected in the third round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Montreal Canadiens, he will be the teammate of the goalkeeper Robert Mayer with the Hamilton Bulldogs.(AHL).
EDIT: Sorry I did the translation in the Hamilton Bulldogs thread so I thought he would be a good idea to put it here too.

Looks like Hamilton will have some more offensive pop next year.

At least they should. Doesn't really mean they will.

It's quite easy to beat last year in terms of offensive pop

Hum, it was already stated at the draft but I guess it is now confirmed.

Not really news to me.

Interesting that it is the most read news on the Tribune de Genève website. Either they really liked him over there, or there is a lot of us that clicked on that link lol

yeah, we said Hamilton would be explosive offensively last season with the addition of Gallagher, Holland, Bournival, Beaulieu, Ellis. Didnt happen.

Makes sense, he will be 20 so now is the time to try for the NHL, he can always play in Switzerland if it doesn't work out or once he is done in the NHL.

I think he will surprise, his skills should adapt pretty well to the pro game, I see him having a 2-3 month adjustment period then being a factor later on like Beaulieu.
