Maybe some alterations within the lines, but I like it.

Jagr had 4.5M last year and even he knows he didnt produce up to that price, i dont see him wanting that much.
He had 3.3M previous year in Flyers it should be something like that.
And i dont believe Jagr said NO to MC... unless they told him he gonna play 4th line just to smile and look good on bench

I've always been for Montreal acquiring Jagr, but it seems as though it'll never occur. Don't want Penner...

Confirmed with Link: Jagr DOESN'T sign here.

He'd be good for the first half of the season. Then he'd slow down.
Then trade him for a 1st pick.

Give him all the cap space we have.

I would go get Jagr and then trade DD and one of our young D prospects which we have plenty of and go get a big tough D man. I think we would be good to start season with that.

35 points in the regular season says otherwise. He also played quite well in the playoffs, creating opportunities and getting some assists (10) while at it.
Gas still in the tank.

Wut?

I think you need to realign your perception of value vs production. Jagr had 35 point in 45 games. Go take a good long look at the player standings and compare some of the salaries vs PPG. Go down the standings till you are at players who have 25 points and exclude all players who are RFAs... then come back and tell me this isn't market value.

He's probably looking for the same amount. It's pretty on par with his production actually.

Hell no, 42 yrs old will take room away from Gallagher, Galchenyuk, Eller, no no no.

Seems to me that every player who are past their time are using us to get a contract.

Lecavalier - twice he mislead us
Briere - 1 time but now he's a hab
Jagr - this is not the first time he did this.

I think that in light of a somewhat dissapointing UFA day, though NOT the end of the summer, having Jagr and the idea to reunite him with Pleks would have been a great news.

Could be an OK regular season signing but i'm still meh on this.

Won't cry if the Habs do sign him but won't jump out of joy either.

If we could turn back time a couple of days, I would of offered Jagr a contract and said go away to Briere.

I say no thanks.
I heard a radio interview, about 3-4 years ago I think it was with Holland in Detroit. Not sure but think it was him. He said he had Jagr signed one summer, then he took the amount to another team got more from them. Comes back to Wings for more money. Then they agree again, before he signs JJ goes to a third team gets more money comes back to Holland and wants more. This time he said no-way. If he can't keep his word don't want him on his team. It's all about money with JJ. In 20+ years as GM, he said JJ was the worst free agent he has ever dealt with.

Holland did say lot of good things about Jagr though. He's good teacher for young players on the team, has patience, spends time with them, good in dressing room overall. If you can get another year out of him he's not bad on team. Just hard man on finances.

Classic Montreal-Jagr talks. Always one of the finalists, but he always backs away from us.

If him trying to suck up more cap space is the worst downside, but he's great with youngsters..

Seriously. That's short term pain for long term gain

I'm not surprised. He's probably doing this to MB and the Habs right now, which is why Bergevin has backed out. I can't see Bergevin putting up with that garbage. Bergevin doesn't **** around.

I'm IN on Jagr too .... get this done and I'll accept the Briere signing, reluctantly.

It's not that we're gonna win anything next year, it would just be fun to get a chance to watch a future hall of famer on a regular basis.

I would love to see that lineup. We can no doubt roll with 4 lines that can make a difference

Apparently, we are the only ones who see that. MB would rather have.. errr.. who does he want?

Habs have the edge cause he actually wants to sign here, the others teams are just there to bring up the price.
