#Habs still looking at Perron, Stewart, Talbot, Coburn, Kane, Bogosian. That will answer half the questions I'm getting.

FWIW, all the acquisitions the habs should make for long term success are by trade.

Guys like Bobby Ryan are guys you need to get, young, big and talented while having chemistry with Pacioretty. I think you won't find them on free agency or will pay too much. The day the habs make shrewd deals we'll see them reach the next level.

Mark Fraser went to arbitration, i doubt the Leafs accept his demands. They have to sign Gunnarson and Franzon who both are also filing for arbitration.

Mark Fraser as a the 7th defencemen would really settle all of our toughness issues as candid as it sounds. He's a 3rd pairing guy who need to be somewhat sheltered bu can play in the NHL and is one of the toughest fighter out there. Moen, Prust, White, Parros and Fraser would be enough to take care of anyone in the league.

I know i do sound like the moar size and can he fight crowd, but i think it would be a great plus for this team to be intimidating in some ways.

I agree with this, even though I'm not from the "moar size" crowd in any way. However, I would not be surprised if the management thinks that Tinordi is ready. Sure, he has a lot of things to learn but they might think he can contribute right away despite the need to be sheltered a bit. If that's the case, I doubt that they go after a defenseman, even if Fraser would be nice.

Yeah but how many 7th defensemen should we have? Bouillon, Drewiskie, Fraser?

Leafs and Fraser can come to an agreement before the arbitration.

There's a good chance Mark Fraser will never fight anymore or he will just fight on rare occasions.

He's big, but he's another PMD. We already have a lot (see too many) of that. Unless they deal Diaz in a different deal, which seems unlikely. And beside, I don't see Toronto trading a young player to a division rival, sadly.

They got enough crap for the last time they made a major intra-division trade.

Or the Rask-Raycroft one, which is even worse. Dealing Franson would look a lot like that trade, albeit Franson being older than Rask when he was dealt.

I doubt the Habs sign any more free agents, only guy I would go for at this point is Fistric, he addresses a need.

I still feel a trade would be needed to shake the core of this team, at a point, if u keep stocking up on prospects, u need to swing for the fences.

To start the season we don't have any.

Subban
Markov
Georges
Diaz
Bouillon
Drewinski

Unless Pateryn/Beaulieu/Tinordi make the team out of camp. As soon as Emelin is back Drewinski becomes our 7th, baring no injuries. But yeah i agree we don't really need another defencemen.

I'd be tempted to pencil Tinordi in the lineup to start the season, considering Emelin will be on IR.
