Hoping for another top five pick this season. My defense isn't terrible (IIRC) but my goalie is average and my top-six is godawful atm. Again, IIRC, the only player above 81 overall in my top-six will be Gaborik. And I don't think he'll carry the team on his own. But I do have Zibanejad, Schwartz, and Galchenyuk who are all third line scorers atm with high upside.

Will post my lines tomorrow.

I have a fairly solid team, especially on defense, but I'm missing a high profile winger.

If anyone is interested in a Read or Mursak + Tanev or Murray package for an 85+ winger I'm all ears.

MacPac (84) M. Richards (87) Mursak (82)
Kreider (82) Johansson (81) Read (82)
Spaling (79) Brule (78) Colborne (77)
Torres (74) Hamill (75) Burish (74)

Enstrom (85) Pie (87)
Whitney (85) Mezsaros (85)
Doug Murray (82) Tanev (83)

Reimer (83)

Read and MaxPac had 60 point seasons, both 4 star potential, and didn't go up one point, while Johansson had a career high 50 points as my 2c and regressed 2 overall. Wtf EA.

Chris Higgins (82) - Alex Galchenyuk (81, 4.5 Green) - Marian Gaborik (89)
Jaden Schwartz (81, 4 Yellow) - Mika Zibanejad (81, 4 Yellow) - Ville Leino (81)
Brandon Saad (78, 3.5 Yellow) - Mike Santorelli (77) - David Jones (78)
Kaspars Daugavins (77) - Chris Brown (74, 3.5 Yellow) - Nick Palmieri (76, 3.5 Yellow)

Joni Pitkanen (85) - Drew Doughty (87, 4.5 Yellow)
Jason Garrison (82) - Marc Sauer (84)
Tim Erixon (77, 4 Yellow) - Johnny Boychuk (80)

Michael Neuvirth (83, 4 Yellow)
Jose Theodore (77)

I think my defense might be able to carry the team into the playoffs. But probably not. As for trades, I'm not really looking for anything in particular, but I'll listen to offers on anyone except for the following:

Untouchables

Alex Galchenyuk
Drew Doughty
Mika Zibanejad
Jaden Schwartz
Ryan Murray
Tim Erixon
Oscar Dansk

So my team started off 8-2-2. Surprising.

Even more surprising is that Chris Higgins has 13 points in 12 games. wat.

Letang to the isles in 3 player blockbuster! Kris Letang (90 overall, 4.5*) has been traded from the wild for struggling Jake Gardiner (85 overall, 4.5*) who is in the AHL currently and prospect Griffin Reinhart (63 overall). The Wild also give up a 2014 2nd round pick. This trade will need 3 signatures before being sent in.

@BobMackenzie: This gives the Isles a great chance at a cup run this season with a top pair of Byfuglien-Letang. They give up some of their youth but Gardiner was sent down into the AHL, so the Isles wanted to give their team the best chance. Solid trade for both

Reimer is on the block. With the emergence of Lack, I don't need two starters.

83 overall, 25 years old, and some untapped potential. I believe he's 4 star gold, but may be 3.5.

I don't need centers or defense, I just need wingers. I would prefer them to be under 30.

Looking for a third line center with good faceoffs and defensive stats. Someone like Chris Kelly or Jay McClement. If you've got a guy like that who you don't need, shoot me a PM.

Whats Letangs contract?

Also you need to list age, potential, overall and contract for all players traded.

How do you guys feel about:

Reimer - 83 overall, 25, 4 star gold. Putting up pretty solid stats at 93% save and 2.19 gaa
Brian Lee - 77 overall, 25, 3.5 gold stars

For

Kassian - 76 overall, 22 years old, 4 star gold.

I feel a Reimer for Kassian swap is fair in itself, but I dislike Brian Lee, and he's just sitting as my 7th d-man not getting any games so I added him in to make sure I get yes votes and get rid of him

Approved. Young starter for a player ive never seen be more than an Elite 2nd liner and usually takes awhile to develop.

I had to change the deal a little, actually kinda ripping myself off but whatever. They had too many scrub goalies so I had to take one back. They must have signed one in between sims.

They wouldn't accept the deal anymore and I had to add two 2nd rounders.

If at the trade deadline im not in a playoff spot both Kronwall(89 Overall, 4.875mil cap hit, 5 or 6 more years, 32) and Thornton(7mil, 89 overall, 1 year left, 34) are available.

Im willing to start negotiating now.

have two deals to announce.

I have been shopping these guys for a while with no bites so I had to resort to CPU trades.

To
Austin Watson - C - 21 - 4 star gold (2Yrs@1.11M) 74 Ovr
Devin Didiomete - LW - 25 - 3 star gold (1Yr@.85M) 75 Ovr on Phi's list of who they want

To
Nino Neiderreiter - LW - 21 - 4 star gold (1Yr@2.75M) 69 Ovr
JG Pageau - C - 21 - 2.5 star gold (2Yr@.71M) 71 Ovr needed to add lowest value player so Philly wouldn't have too many players.

and the second trade:

To
Phillip Danault - C - 20 - 4 star gold (3Yr@.925M) 66 Ovr
Joakim Nordstrom - C 21 - 3.5 star gold (2Yr@.6M) 62 Ovr
Kevin Sundher - C - 21 - 3.5 star gold (2Yr@.87M) 75 Ovr

To
Milan Michalek - LW - 29 - 4 star reached (1Yr@3.375M) 84 Ovr

Ottawa is close to the cap and current sitting third last in the East. I need a better LW to play with Crosby. Ottawa is also lacking young centres with potential. I have a lot of Centre prospects. So much so that I needed to get rid of 4 in total with these trades.

Both have been offered in game and accepted by the teams.

Okay, here:
(NHL) Letang: 90 overall, 26 yrs, 4.5* potential, 3.76M/1
2014 2nd
2014 3rd

for

(AHL) Gardiner: 85 overall, 23 yrs, 4.5* potential, 1.445M/1
(CHL) G. Reinhart: 63 overall, 19 yrs, 4.5* potential, 0.925M/3
(NHL) PM Bouchard: 81 overall, 29 yrs, X, 3.105M/3

(Added in PMB for 2nd+3rd so they can get more cap space)
I've only seen Gardiner reach 86 and Reinhart hasn't became NHL-ready for 2 gmcs at 4 seasons in.
