Trying to sell cards on ebay right now, and it kind of sucks. I'm using auction style and people are just watching the cards and not bidding. Then when the card's auction is almost done, they try to out-snipe eachother.

Perhaps I should just stick with strictly Buy it Now and avoid auctions all together.

True. Plus, I don't feel like selling my Galchenyuk cards on ebay right now. The price vary so much and some sellers undervalued the card therefore, people won't buy the card at the correct price. Example, a level 1 Alex Galchenyuk card is 100-125$ "Buy it now" price, when a Nail Yakupov is selling at 205$. A Galchenyuk level 3 #49 is selling for 300$ BIN when a Vladimir Tarasenko level 3 #49 is selling for 1200$ Buy it now price or a Brendan Gallagher level 3 #49 is selling for 750$. No offense on the other players, but Galchenyuk should have a better value than Tarasenko and Gallagher. I'm eager to see Beckett's price for the trilogy set. Hopefully it will give more value.

Which card is /10 ?

These Trilogy cards are pretty nice.
UD Ice
Ice Premiers /10

They are basically rookie year patch auto cards.

Yeah the UD Ice premieres numbered to 99 are already expensive...the ones numbered to 10 I can't imagine..

Put a reserve on it. Means you get what you want (if it sells) with the potential to get more.

I don't use snipes (anymore), but I've got some older Roy cards at a great price.

It's like putting in your max bid, but at the last second.

Example because I suck at explaining things.

Say, you went to put a bid on a card at .99 cents. Your max bid was going to be 5 dollars. If someone else has one at 4, then eBay will keep it going back and forth until one reaches their max. So, the card will be at 4 dollars right away.

With a snipe, if you put it at 5 and someone bids, your bid won't be added to match and then go up one so you're the highest bidder.

Basically if all that doesn't make sense it saves you from raising the cost of the card.

It means to manually or have a program place a bid within the final seconds of an auction so hopefully other bidders don't have time to outbid you before time runs out.

I decided to start the bidding at prices that were at my bottom line. Was really hoping to get bidding wars on a few cards, none the less. That just doesn't seem to happen anymore.

Maybe the best way is to start the bidding really low, but then put the reserve at your bottom line instead.

Edit: Just noticed, there is a cost for Reserve Price you have to pay to EBay. Nothing I'm selling is really worht that. Probably better off just hoping for the best and re-listing unsold items.

Put the reserve up some and add in free shipping to NA.

If they only win a few cards, shipping to anywhere in the continental US + Alaska shouldn't cost more than 7 bucks with tracking.

I had no idea there was a cost for a reserve. I did one over 2 years ago, so they more than likely changed it since then.

It means bidding at the last second. Instead of getting a bidding war giong back and forth, through the course of the auction, you just enter a bid right at the end.

You can use programs and websites to do it for you.

Actually the best way, and technically it's against the rules of EBay FYI, is for your friend to put a bid on your card and thus force other bidders to beat that price in order to win the card.

Yeah, that's the best way... If you want to get yourself banned from ebay that is.

I have a Harvey's bag with Spezza, Heatley and Corvo signatures on it. Got it in person one night after coming home form the bar in MTL. Had a burger with them, good times.

I also have Jeff Skinner's old guitar strings off his acoustic Taylor guitar. Met him at my work when he was in getting his guitar strings changed.

PM me if interested. Price negotiable. Interesting trades considered.

yeah, posting auctions at a low starting price in the off-season is going to lead to you being bent over.

Unless something is really rare, I would stick to setting a price and seeing if anyone is willing to pay that.

I only have one, but it's part of a Price/Rask combo (I posted about it a few pages back) It's a really sick card.

You can buy a regular one for 20-30 bucks I'd say.

The new Score box (2013-14) is like 20 bucks at Wal-Mart

6 boxes 08-09 UD, $35 a box
2 boxes 13-14 Trilogy, $225 a box
1 box 12-13 Fleer Retro, $125
1 box 12-13 SP Authentic, $95
1 box 08-09 O Pee Chee, $50
Not shown, 4 boxes 2011 Bench Warmer Vault, hehe.

6 boxes 08-09 UD

These were too cheap. No UD base brand should be $35 ever, unless it's before 1996. No good YGs in this set but...

Printing Plate black 1/1, Curtis Sanford
HG /10 Robyn Regher (PC!)
Rookie Playmakers /100, big jersey Zack Bogosian
Signature Sensations, Marc Staal
Clearcut Rookies /100, Derick Brassard
2x Victory Rookie, Steven Stamkos

Plus a ton of gold Victory, jersey cards, Exclusives /100, etc.
Pretty strong.

2 boxes 13-14 Trilogy
I busted these together and mixed them up. I'm not curious how these break down, I have a pretty good idea already.

Signature Pucks
Nail Yakupov (redemption)
Dougie Hamilton /13 (to go along with my /13 Dougie Gilmour last time, hehe)

Ice Scripts
Terry O'Reilly
Sean Couterier

Crystal
Greats, Pavel Bure
Erik Karlsson

Triple Jerseys
Salming Lidstrom Ekman-Larsson
Coffey Whitney Schultz
Bucyk Horton Spooner
Huberdeau Laughton Spooner
(I got the first two in the last box, and the last two both have Spooner)

Rookie Premiers
/699
Jordan Schroeder
Cory Conacher
Ryan Murphy

/399
Dougie Hamilton
Dougie Hamilton
Thomas Hickey
Nail Yakupov
(got two Hamiltons...all Hamilton, all the time)

/49
Rickard Rakell
(that's three in three boxes...)

1 box 12-13 Fleer Retro
Precious Metal Gems Blue /50, Evgeni Malkin
Rookie Sensation auto, Sven Baertschi

Autographics
Andrei Markov
Craig Smith
Chris Kunitz
Calvin De Haan
Victor Hedman

EX, Jason Spezza
NOYZ BOYZ, Theoren Fleury

12-13 Limited Auto Patch /100, Jaroslav Halak (4 break 3 color)
Authentic Moments, Gretzky Roy
Team Canada Moments, Eberle Tavares

1 box 08-09 O Pee Chee
Winter Classic, Erik Christensen
Retro Rainbow /100, JS Giguere
OPC Buyback 07-08 OPC Marquee Rookies auto, Marc Staal
