From talking to some people who followed Calgary in the WHL this year, it sounds like Rissling is a "high character" defenseman whose best route to the NHL(or even a steady gig in the AHL) is as an enforcer.

Saros played his third game for Team Finland and he recorded his second shutout against Slovakia.

This kid is coming up quickly. I absolutely see him in Nashville, potentially, after next year. Hopefully we have Korn still here to turn him into a powerhouse

he's still way too young (he's only 19) for the NHL and probably will stay in Finland for a while. Remember all this success is while still playing the Finnish equivalent of juniors. I would let him take his time and play with the men in Finland for a year or two, then bring him to NA.

The Admirals lost 6-2 in Game 1 to Toronto. The first 3 Toronto goals were assisted by Referee Jamie Koharski. The last 2 goals were empty netters.

The level of officiating was unbelievable! I have seen better officials in pro wrestling. Toronto had too many men on the ice twice in the third period. The results were Milwaukee being called for tripping and high sticking respectively. Patrick Cehlin had his helmet knocked off before a faceoff. It flew 10 feet away. No penalty was called on Kevin Marshall. He was involved in about 1/3 of the illegal garbage during the game and was never called for a penalty.

In the third period, Referee Jarrod Ragusin made up for lost time by stinking up the BMOBC. He was fine in periods 1 and 2, but awful in the third.

Toronto did beat Milwaukee to loose pucks nearly the entire game. Ford is too slow for the Marlies wingers. They went by him on the outside at least 3 times. The Admirals needed to shoot the puck more. They missed corners several times on the shots that they took. The Ads could have scored 3 goals in the first period, rather than zero.

He actually played as the nr1 goalie for HPK in the Finnish Elite league this season with svs% .923 GAA 1.76 in 44games and 7 shutouts.
He was also they key factor to Finland winning the U20 WC's with 6games svs% .943
Dont know about his plans but probably staying 1 more year in the FEL would be good.

Ok, cool. Tsn stats still had him in juniors. I think Hutton is our backup fir now, Hellberg and Mazanec will fight it out to be the number 1 in Milwaukee, and whoever loses out will be traded or leave, and thats when Saros comes over...

Yes, I got the "H" out of there. Koharski should do the same.

Milwaukee lost 5-2 to Toronto. I thought that Beck played poorly at times. Forsberg twirled around like the girl in the "Mighty Ducks" and was close to useless. Bitetto and Piskula played well. Ford and Rodney were better than last night.

I see Jarnkrok has 2 points in two playoff games, how has he looked?

I just cant figure what happened to Mazanec. For a while he looked like he was ready for the NHL, and now he just gets shelled in the AHL.

or are the Ads playing really poor defense?

This type of inconsistent play is why I won't be surprised if he spends more time in MIL next season. I wouldn't pencil him in as a top 6 scoring winger for the Preds next year.

There have been some breakdowns and turnovers. Sometimes, the Ads can't get out of their own end with the puck. Bad passes have been made. All of those mistakes pile up. Maz has had maybe one bad goal per game. The Ads PP can't move the puck, because Toronto knows what passes are coming.

Three of Toronto's goals in the series are ENs. Milwaukee is giving up 33 shots a game. Those games were in Milwaukee. Maz is giving up 4 GAA with 88% saves. Maz has made some good saves, just not enough.

He has not dominated. The Admirals have only scored 4 goals in 2 games, so Calle is doing his part. The rest of the team needs to step it up.

Here is a good stream for Milwaukees Playoffgame.
It's a must win game for Milwaukee.

I don't think that the results would have been much different against Chicago or Texas. Milwaukee could beat Rochester. The Ads lost 2-0 and go golfing now.

Sorry to see your season end so early. Too bad the Ads couldn't beat the Marlies.

Juuse Saros made Team Finland which means that he's the youngest Finnish goalie since Kari Lehtonen to play for Finland in the World Championships.

Only if we convince Mitch Korn to stay in Nashville.
