I think it would give so much more peripheral vision to the goalie, seems like a genius idea.

I like one theme masks, ala Joseph. Wish Reimer would go with a full optimus reim theme, instead of a bunch of little stuff.

Something like this would be awesome.

Lol good one. But i meant for todays traditional shell, using a clear material. I think it could be revolutionary, would be easier to find the puck in scrambles, looking down. Plus keeping a wider field of vision to see plays develop or someone sneaking into the other side for a one timer.

Hate the lame ideas like optimus prime and megatron. I wanna see something vicious on his mask like the CUJO one, now that was cool. Im hoping for some sort of vicious looking lion/tiger or something along those lines.

I often find our logos dont look very good on goalie masks. The best ones always eschew any real 'leafiness', and just use of a badass design (Potvin, Belfour, CuJo).

Though I was a big fan of Scrivens' simple white and blue Leaf mask. I generally just don't like the really busy masks, with the ACC on one side, the Gardens on the other side, the logo on the other side, Don Cherry on the other side, the city skyline on the other side, etc, etc, etc...

Just pick a simple, unique design, make it blue and white, and call it a day.

There aren't any clear materials feasible to use for a goalie mask; that would hold up to a Chara shot. I've seen visors crack with shots that are not near Chara's power.

You would also open the door to puck markings and scratches; obstructing your vision.

You could also have some fogging concerns; unless you place a fair bit of holes in it. If you place holes; you weaken the structural stability.

As opposed to seeing outside of a hole, even with markings, scratches and fogging, the ability to see wider is better. Im also assuming we leave the cage on as it normally is.

I'd like to see him keep the lion (blue) and make it his own. Similar to Joseph and the Dog, Felix with the Cat and Eddie with the Eagle.

bernier should get reimer's face with his eyes closed painted on his mask, and if you look close enough you realize Reimer is lying in a casket

Wearing a cage wouldn't stop pucks from hitting the forehead of the mask or glancing off the cheeks/chin. Not to mention that aside from any crack/scuff/fogging, which would obstruct view by the way, the material would likely refract any light passing through it and distort the goalie's view much like a glass of water does.

Anyway. A blue-themed lion a la Cujo/Belfour would look nice. I also wouldn't be against Megatron/Decepticons.

Just a plain white helmet, but on the back there's a Hab's jersey burning.

The name "Bernier" has a Germanic root that basically translates to "Bear Army" apparently. So perhaps some sort of Grizzly bear, at least. An army of grizzly bears at most.
