Bob's list so far.
Fully expect Draisaitl to keep dropping. Just doesn't have the skating. Could see Ritchie popping into the top 5.

Wished either of the Sams was listed ahead. The less exposure Ekblad gets the better for us.

Bob saying Reinhart being more of a #2 center and Ekblad being a #2 or #3 defenseman was disappointing.

The whole Top 50 is here.

Honestly I hope they trade the pick this year, let's get a legit defenseman back that we don't have to wait for. Package something with the pick if you have to.

Personally I don't buy the comments on Reinhart and Ekblad's potential. I know it's McKenzie but that seems off. Everything I hear about Bennett sounds great. I keep saying it, but the draft is perfect for us. Any of Reinhart, Ekblad, Bennett, Dal Colle and even Draisaitl despite what the scouts are saying about him would be great.

Hopefully the pick is traded for a top pairing Dman if that's the case.

Here's last years mid-season rankings from Bob. Seth Jones #1.

I'm hoping Ritchie falls. Would be nice to pick up another 1st rounder and snag him as well

Maybe Ekblad. But im not high on this draft at all. Yes these guys are good and fit what the Oilers need. But none will have the impact of a JT,Stamkos, Hall, Mackinnon

Wouldnt mind trading the pick even if its 1st overall if we can get a top pairing D.

Imagine trading the pick to NSH with Eberle for Weber. Then they pick Ekblad.

Ekblad-Jones top pairing in 3 years + Eberle + using Webers cap space for FA's

This is my feeling but only if Ekblad isn't available.

That's my thinking as well. Hopefully teams are hesitant to take him if they pick before us.

I'm sure you're trying to say that things change with the remaining season left to play and based on who's picking and their team needs and their own draft boards. Like I said, the less exposure Ekblad gets, the better for us.

He'll either drop to where ever the Oilers pick or drown in the collective tears of Oilers nation.

So.....this is our supposed savior? He's going to have so much pressure here to be a No.1

Chris Phillips 2.0, is everyone OK with that?

I think you take him and leave him in junior for a year. Besides the effects that would have on his development, it would keep his trade value at its second highest. How many teams could match an offer centered on a top 2 pick, especially if they are moving a defenceman?

I agree if you draft Ekblad send him back to juniors he is actually younger than most because of his bday. Whomever we draft should go back to junior.

If Ekblad is gone who do we draft?

Don't get all the Klefbom love, he's not exactly killing it in the AHL.

If we put potential aside for a moment, has Klefbom ever played well enough to show that he can play as a top 4 in the NHL?

I just realized that Sam Bennett and Michael Dal Colle share a birthday- June 20th. It will be interesting to see who will be the better player down the road. I can't say solidly who I think will be the better NHLer at this point.

I think Dal Colle is kind of underrated around here. My guess is that's because he's another winger.

just another person saying what everybody has been saying: this draft class, even at the very top, is quite weak... one of the worst draft classes in a long, long time

trade the pick for immediate help macT!

And what kind of help are we going to get for a high pick in a weak draft? We would have to hope that some team totally falls in lover with a prospect but otherwise we will not get great value by trading the pick. If we do make a draft day trade involving the pick I am betting we include one of the young players on the team and it will be a block buster kind of trade.
