no problem...

Bourque - Pleks - Gallagher
MaxPac - Eller - Briere
Morrow - Galch - Gionta
Moen - DD - Prust
(Parros/White/Dumont)

DD & Briere can compete for that wing spot next to Eller/Patches, loser gives our 4th line a bit of offensive pop (or sits in the press box in games where MT feels icing a more physical 4th line is necessary)

Im glad YOU demoted DD to the 4th line, but if you think eller and galchenyuk will be the 2nd and 3rd line centers of the team your dreaming, ..therrien not only has DD as a top 6 center but he just REFUSES to seperate pacioretty and desharnais

I like Morrow and everything, but i SINCERELY doubt its happening

A 3.5M$ 4th line center... Yah but.... no, won't happen

Giontas on IR. We sign Morrow we're looking at:

Morrow-Plekanec-Briere
Pacioretty-Desharnais-Bourque
Galchenyuk-Eller-Gallagher
Moen-Prust-Parros/White
(IR-Gionta)

well, coaches stubborness aside, it is "possible" for us to add Morrow without moving anyone.

Do agree that it's unlikely MT demotes DD or Briere to the 4th line, though if that means we end up seeing Eller or Galch there, you can officially count me as done with the MT/MB duo.

guessing you weren't around when we had a 7.4M$ 4th line Center?

ARe you comparing Desharnais' situation to Gomez? Mtl gave DD that contract, I don't see them using DD as 4th line center and not that I would like to see that neither...

Disagree, the better team with more depth shouldn't get completely outplayed and outshot every game. Sometimes the better team loses, often, actually.

You point out the shots on goal. Most of those were from the perimeter. The Sens defense did not allow our forwards easy access to the net. Meanwhile, our defense could not clear the crease in front of Price.

Physically dominated by the Sens. To say otherwise is to live in denial.

With that said, this team needs more players like Morrow and fewer non-physical forwards.
The ole never ending and unprovable shot quality argument, the habs outplayed the sens, both SOG and Quality scoring chances prove this in spades. The difference was goaltending, absolutely nothing else. I'm convinced half of you here wouldn't know a hockey game if you fell over one.

He was skating forward with all his momentum, of course his foot was going forward when he attempted to stop. There was no distinct kicking motion and that is all that matters. The call was good, the goal where Turris is holding Price's stick was worse.

Posters keep saying gionta is on IR. Any sources? Last I heard he's on track for training camp. So if morrow is signed, someone has to go. Whether its Moen , White, dd or whomever.

Moen and White are 4th liners, if they are expendable it wouldn't really be related to Briere or Morrow.

If Morrow is in fact coming then DD or Bourque are the likeliest to go. Pacioretty Galchenyuk Eller and Gallagher are going nowhere. Plekanec would only go for huge return. Gionta is hurt, going nowhere now. Briere was just signed. That leaves 2 suspects.

If we broke camp with 14 healthy forwards, then I wouldn't have a problem with Dumont starting in Hamilton.

What's a "huge" return ? I like plekd but you're kidding yourself if you think you're getting a so called huge return.

Urgh. Moving Bourque would be a huge mistake. Great contract and he has shown improvement.

There aren't very many 2-way centers of his caliber in the NHL, never mind available ones. I for one think Plekanec's value is very high right now, not "All Star" high, but still.

Something similar to Ryan, Carter, Richards.

Ya I'd be happy with that. Personally I think this is pleks last year on the habs. Ellen and galchenyuk will be 1-2 after this year.

Quick, snatch Morrow before the Devils grab him with their new cap space and LW spot

I don't see them rushing Galchenyuk that much unless his development explodes. He still has a long way to go to be a legit top 2 center both offensively and defensively.

i think it would be a great fit and he brings an element that we really need

also he could pretty much play anywhere in the lineup and be effective
