Would not mind any of he, Cleary, Penner, Jagr, Brunner, Prospal, Antropov at forward

Hainsey, Sanguinetti, Zanon, Foster, Fistric are some names we should be looking at on defence

Let's remember that it's Morrow who called. Not the Habs. Morrow used his father-in-law to get the Habs to call his agent. Even the Habs were shocked.

I don't get it. The defense is pretty abysmal; especially with Emelin's health as a question mark going into the season.
Dude, our D is not abyssmal, not even close...yeah, we can always use an upgrade if it's available (like Franson or Coburn...or Schenn, yay), but we have a solid D-core (Subbie, Markov, Gorges, Diaz) and Tinordi and maybe even Pateryn are ready for the jump to Top 6, keeping Cube & Drew in the Pressbox...no panic...

Besides Scuderi IMO the defensive UFA market was pretty bad. I agree we desperately need a top 4 (more like a #3) but it's going to have to come via trade. Bergevin needs to start being a little more creative

My guess is it's reactionary to the lack of goals for in the playoffs. It boggles my mind because they didn't have a problem with scoring over the duration of the season. Yes, there was a drop-off, but that was more on the defense and team play than anything else.

Gorges had a bad year last year, but has ben a stud for us for years...Diaz was actually having a great year before he went down with a concussion and wasn't the same after he got back...y'all need to relax...

I don't get it. I just don't ****ing get it. Why would we need another forward? Didn't we just signed Daniel Brière to a two-year contract?

We really don't need another forward. our top 9 is good the way it is and Morrow can sign elsewhere. We need another defenseman. Someone who hits and is a good puck mover.

Can't believe how many people said "yes" to him in this thread. Unreal.

Absolutely, depth is what we need and Morrow can play just about anywhere. 1 year, decent price and I'm in for sure

How would you rate your character on a scale of 1 to Daniel Briere?

He'd be on 3rd or 4th line... for 1-year, i'd give him a shot...

A question though... What's the deal with Gionta? Will he be ready for season?

Tom Pyatt. I'll skate a lot, try score and fail but I'll block shots. I'll give it all! If I get jumped by a Boston Bruin I'll defend myself and cry at the same time.

The D is set:

Markov, Subban, Gorges, Diaz, Bouillon, Tinordi, and Drewiske. Emelin once he recovers will be there as well. Only Tinordi is on a two-way contract, and he will start with the Habs unless he has a disastrous camp. So basically no room for another D, unless someone is moved, which I don't see happening just yet.

Morrow would be a useful short term addition. This team is still missing a gritty element, with some skill, and Morrow can provide that.

Hypothetical line-up if we added Morrow?

Pacioretty-Briere-Gallagher
Bourque-Plekanec-Gionta
Morrow-Eller-Galchenyuk
Moen-Dumont-White

No DD? Looks good to me.
