Haha, just a lucky guess!

Anyone know how many episodes are left this season?

Yeah, I think the Beast is a different person. If we presume Tate is the bridge guy, then everyone he has killed has been purposeful with reason. The Beast seemed to be less so--just killing random young girls.

Doesn't look to good for Gus. My bet is he's underwater in some container. The way this show kills off people I can see him dying. And Charlotte sure went homocidal quickly, a little too quickly for my liking.

Will this be available on Netflix soon? I've only seen one episode.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! It's a dream right?!

2 more episodes. Been awhile since I've seen a show capture the villains before the season is over.

One Finnish paper managed to spoil Gus's fate in a minor note promoting the start of the second season of the original Danish series on Finnish tv this Sunday and I didn't get to see this episode until moments ago...

Still, it was tough to watch. Really sad and powerful episode. The bridge scene was shot both simply and beautifully. There' still storylines unfinished and the whole tunnel and/or cartel business could go on until another season even. I really have to give credit to this show how they are able to avoid practically all the cliches. You just don't know what's going to happen next.

what's neat is even when they go cliche like the bridge scene where you have to shoot them to get info, they did it differently.

Just got around to watching the last episode.

Major credits to the writers. Just a really well done episode. Was not expecting the standoff so soon, but to kill off Gus really adds another layer. We'll see where it goes from here with the main plot seemingly moving on...my hunch is the tunnel plot starts to take over. But the writers just deserve major props with how they did this episode IMO.

I don't know if the show has a second season guaranteed but as I mentioned earlier, the original Danish/Swedish series began it's second season over here and the two major characters were mentioned as working together in a new case in the promo blurbs(with the mention of the son's death), so that would imply there are still stories untold in this show's world.

Got renewed for a 2nd season today, thought I read once they did the original story in season one they were going to move on to being there own show, and not follow the Danish/Swedish storyline anymore.

Wooo! Good show, really enjoy it. It's so damn dark and gritty.

I don't watch the original series but since it's bridge is the big one connecting Denmark and Sweden I could imagine that e.g. the tunnel from the US version might not be in it. Plus the Mexican cartels/ATF are another potential storyline.

No, that was the end.

Looks like the main focus will be on the missing girls and corrupt cops but hopefully they pay more attention to the tunnel storyline next season.

I don't think he's had that much screen time do anything too significant yet but he's doing a good job of making his character more likeable.

That ending scene was kind of sad and disheartening.

100% agreed. The scene where he is in his 1st 12 step meeting, he is really outstanding.

so what did everyone think of the finale or overall impressions of season 1? it was kinda strange how they had the show's climax and wrapped up the main plot line with 2 episodes left in the season. I'm still not sure if that was the best way to handle it because the final 2 eps were so slow in comparison, but they managed to set up for season 2 pretty well as long as season 2 picks up right were they left off and not "a couple months/years" later.

I doubt the dopey boyfriend is gonna last much longer, he seems like a walking "kill me" target. Was that guy that cornered Charlotte in the supermarket law enforcement? How do you think he knows what he does?

And now it looks like Adriana's sister has been kidnapped...more webs to weave amongst the varying storylines.

solid show, although i was way more excited up until they revealed the motive behind all the killings, was too much for a guy to go through all of that with killing the judge and the girl and placing the half bodies on the bridge all cuz his friend slept with his wife and his son died inadvertently

love sonya though

Good stuff, nice set up for season two, felt sad when the news lady reporters Mom was waiting for her daughter to get off the bus, and knew it was a lost cause.

Loved the camera work at the end of the episode with Marco and the great shots of the fireplace right behind him, really intense. Look forward to season two.
