@CarterBaum: Coach Nelson said in interview after morning skate that both Jujhar Khaira and Greg Chase will play tonight for the #OKCBarons vs. Hamilton

If Nelson can get this group to the playoffs I don't know how he does not get head coach consideration. I also hope they make it so the guys can go down and compete for the Calder Cup.

Sounds like Khaira and Chase will play on the second line together with AHL vet Jack Combs.

Greg Chase on the fourth line? I would personally like to see Greg Chase in at least third line role.

Good lord that has to be the weakest lineup I've seen from this team in 4 years.

Going into OT, but Greg Chase with a goal (game tying goal), and a post so far...
+2...
Khaira... -2 on the night.

So pumped for Chase, I think we have a steel on our hands

Does anybody know who's the best to follow on Twitter for updates on the Barons, I follow Tend the Farm, but was hoping to follow somebody with more in game updates. Any ideas?

@tweetneal

For those W/O the twitter machine...

Neal ‏@tweetneal 1h
Greg Chase & Jujhar Khaira, through one period in OKC, have added more skill than this team has seen in three weeks. #OKCBarons

Neal ‏@tweetneal 1h
@zacharyRjohnson Chase actually plays angles very well for a big body, love both of these guys already.

Eric Rodgers ‏@ericrsports 1h
Chase with two shots in the first period. Khaira 3-3 on faceoffs by my count. Three in the offensive zone, all wins. #OKCBaronsNeal ‏@tweetneal 22m
Greggy Chase scores! Beats goaltender high, on the glove side. 4-4 game. #OKCBarons

Neal ‏@tweetneal 22m
Chase went hard through a defender on net. Lovely. #OKCBarons

Regarding Chase

Neal ‏@tweetneal 20m
@pand75 Seems to find himself in the right spots at right time. Very mature first pro game.

Neal ‏@tweetneal 58m
Me too “@ericrsports: Loving Chase's forechecking abilities. #OKCBarons #oilers”

Eric Rodgers ‏@ericrsports 2h
Khaira has a magnet on the crease on the PP. Perfect positioning by him in front of Mayer. #OKCBarons #oilers

Eric Rodgers ‏@ericrsports 2h
Chase hops off the bench for his first shift, jumps right into the play and forces a turnover for a shot. #OKCBarons #oilers

Eric Rodgers ‏@ericrsports 2h
Khaira and Chase both on the second PP unit. Big chance by Chase and it rings off the crossbar. #OKCBarons #oilers

@ericrsports has been tracking Khaira's face off numbers and talking bout both the prospects this game.

Awesome to see Chase score his first pro goal in his first pro game. That kid's gamesmanship is really high, something the losers on the NHL squad could learn a great deal from. Khaira was -2, looking at the boxscore however.

Chase doesn't have the head for the pro game. Either he needs his attitude to change in a hurry or he will have a short AHL career. We've had people come to this organization with bad attitudes and I know first hand his has to be one of the worst.

Interesting, what's wrong with his attitude?

This is the first I heard of this, mind you I don't follow him all that closely but do try and watch his games when I can. What is wrong with his attitude?

I don't really want to get into it too much, but knowing players that played with and against him and well as a few refs... Always hear the same thing... Cocky, arrogant, entitled... He would fit it real well with the team at Oil City though... I really think to get to this level you have to be a little cocky but apparently it's on a whole new level. Even his teammates don't like putting up with it. It wasn't his skill that made him drop to the 7th round...

That's what I thought until I saw that there are two Millers, each with 2 assists.

This is the first I have heard of it. I heard he was a **** distrubter. Im not going to doubt what your saying, there was a reason he dropped to the 7th despite being ranked in the 3rd. If he can get his attitude adjusted, he will be a great pick

Haha give it time. Things like that show up at the AHL level... Lots of guys can play junior like it's no problem and not put in the work and be young and dumb... It's almost like Bull Durham where they say he has a million dollar arm and a five cent head...
