Hilarious camera angles. I'm half expecting a breakaway to be shown from from a net or goalie cam. Too funny. Still, enjoyable the game.

Looked like Fedun and Oesterle made mistakes in our zone, turned over the puck that they were in full possession of and it cost us.

Was a really good effort by everyone.
It seems like all of our D are very capable of using the stick to take the puck off of entering forwards sticks.
We had a lot of chances.
Nurse wasn't afraid to use his shot in the OT but from what the announcers were saying he may have been still suffering from his flu or cold and they mentioned he was off tonight

Was Nurse's fight anything worth talking about?

Watching the game I think Nurse was a still a bit under the weather, I don't think he wanted the fight, he just did it cause that's the kind of person and teammate he is. The fight wasn't amazing from what I recall, I think Glennie was winning it by a little bit and it looked like Nurse tagged him good once and then a couple seconds after that Glennie went for the take down. There are no replays to really speak of on the feed and the camera work and video quality aren't as good it's hard to tell how solidly any of the punches landed.

Here is a gif of the Nurse fight

Nurse doesn't win the fight or anything. But I could care less whether or not Nurse is a good fighter, I would actually prefer him not to fight unless its for a good reason. But its good to see him stick up for a teammate, the willingness to fight speaks volumes more than the outcome of the fight. This is something not many Oilers will do.

Wish I could have watched this game, but the NHL playoffs always take precedence over the AHL. Sounds like OKC played ok though.

I prefer him fighting and getting into a scrum over things like that then freaking Jeff Petry waiting for the bus.

He definitely doesn't lose though. He can really throw, which is good to see out of the OHL. Sometimes, players "lose" that ability once they step up a league.

Good on him.

Nurse simply does not fit in with the oilers we do not come to a team mates aid around here we will have to cure him of that.

Hes had some good fights in the OHL too. But he defiantly goes all out throwing his punches. In the NHL he will be getting his clock cleaned if he keeps throwing hay-makers. In this fight he seemed a lot more in control and throw smart punches.

Maybe SMac gave him a few pointers.

He's certainly a "punch and get punched" type of fighter. Take one, throw one, take one, throw one, etc. This won't work in the NHL, so hopefully he puts on a few pounds and learns something from Gazdic in the coming future. However, he can already handle himself at the AHL against busts like Glennie(is that Scott Glennie?). That's something, right?

Don't even care if he wins the fight, it's defending the teammate that's the important thing.

The fact that he is doing quite well in his first real test in the pros is a good sign I think. I'm sure Nelson is getting orders to play some of the guys like Klefbom and Nurse over other d-men, but I'm sure he wouldn't sabotage his season just to play Nurse.

I still don't understand the Osterele(sp?) choice above Gernat and Musil.

Yup haha. In the NHL taking a clean punch will get you KO'd (ask Ivanas)

That was Glennie. I actually want to trade for Glennie though if he comes extremely cheap.

A bit of a reclamation AHL project. Maybe he can turn it around and become a 1st line AHL player or fringe NHL player
