Stalock, Pelech and Rob Davison signed.

I didn't see it posted anywhere else on here. Stalock 1 year $625,000. Matt Pelech and Rob Davison 1 year for $550,000. All listed on Capgeek.

As a young NHL player / prospect Rob had a somewhat unusual skating style, he kind of ran on his skates in his first few steps. He was never a high skill/talent player, but a hard worker and team guy. He's a great guy, glad to see him with the W Sharks.

I really hope Davison gets a game or two with the big club. It would be awesome to see him in teal again.

Rob Davison? Is it 2003 again? Quickly, someone get to Doug Wilson's office and warn him before he picks Kaspar at the next draft!

I'm happy about these signings and I'm excited to see Stalock finally get his chance as a legit backup and a few starts here and there too. But I don't really understand the Rob Davison signing though. I'm okay with signing him and I'm excited to see him reunited with Stuart, Hannan and Marleau but aren't we already stacked on D? Not saying our D is stacked as in amazing but aren't we already having trouble deciding what to do with the 7th D-man? Was Davison more of a Worcester signing? Either way I like these signings but I'm just curious about signing Davison though.

Depth. DW likes to be "8-9" D deep for the playoffs. Sharks probably weren't very comfortable having only Hannan as the experienced guy in that 7-9 slot.

Then again, who knows how Davison has regressed. Maybe it is a pure AHL signing.

I just noticed how this thread would have so many more replies if it had "confirmed with link" in front of it but I also just noticed that there's no link lol so here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=677614
