Correct. Reebok purchased CCM/KOHO. Adidas then purchased Reebok.
They are all the same company. It is just a matter of what brand they put pn the jersey.

Never attempted to do this before but tight on cash. Would it be feasible to buy a player (gaborik, MDZ, etc) jersey for cheap and strip it - would it leave any indication that it's been tampered with?

from what i heard the nameplate is easy to strip, but the numbers are a lot more difficult. never actually did it so someone can correct me

so that strategy is great to convert a gabby to miller, dubi to moore, etc., but a waste of time and $ otherwise?

thanks. think they did an awesome job.
one gripe - the placement of the patch, but i don't care.
the rangers patch is not centered on the sleeve, but the stadium series patch is.
like that's the end of the world...soooooo

Looking now (after receiving a nice customized Richards TBL back) a preferred EDGE, not indo size 50 Nash ZUC Stepan or McD. Of anyone has, and wants to sell, I'm your guy. Maybe not all at once but hey. Poor college student problems.

Also I'm trying to sell some obscure jerseys if anyone wants them. Most authentic and NONE are Chinese ripoffs.

I've stripped a few jerseys. It's not tough to do, and generally I get great results. Just depends on two things - the heat backing on the twill and the type of jersey.

Some twill has a heat backing on it that leaves glue residue on the jersey after you take the name/number off. On white jerseys, this can be a bit of a pain (especially if the residue is red, which a lot of the time it is). Most times you're putting twill right back over it with the new name/number so you can't tell. You just cover it up. But sometimes it's there forever and you can't get it off. In those cases, you're SOL.

Also, the type of jersey is a big factor. The new Reebok EDGE jerseys, for example, are a bit of a pain. The material snags a bit, so you have to be REALLY careful with the seam ripper. It's a slow, tedious process. Absolutely need to be patient and go slow. It takes forever, but better than buying a new $400 authentic.

90% of the time, I get great results. It just takes a lot of work and patience. For example, I bought a white Gomez authentic after he was traded for about $75. Took off the nameplate and the 9's, replaced with Gaborik and added the zeros (made 19's into 10's). You'd have absolutely no idea it was a Gomez. Granted, now that jersey is dated too. Might need to change the nameplate on it.

Changing out nameplates alone is easy as pie. The numbers are the tougher part.

Does anybody have measurements for an xl winter classic premier jersey. I'm thinking of picking one up from sportsk and I'm not sure what the size difference is from a regular premier in xl. It says that the winter classics are cut like the old ccm's. Any help would be awesome!

They're cut exactly like the old CCM's. I have both the regular medium premier's and the medium Winter Classic. The Winter classic is a lot baggier on me and the sleeves seem to be a little shorter in length compared to the premier.

All my premiers are xl's and they're a little big but I usually wear a sweatshirt underneath. Just trying to figure out if I should drop down to a large for the Winter Classic. Thanks for the help.

I have one of the old Koho Statue of Liberty jerseys. It was customized with my name and #8 (Hey, I was a kid, around 10, and thought I'd grow up to play for the Rangers). Funny enough, I lost a lot of weight during my teenage years and, since it was purchased size or two up, it fits again, though I'm not sure how well (or worth it) stripping it would be.

Could leave the number and have a Prust, Powe, or Klein, but my last name is 9 letters long, so the residue might be present. My parents paid a good deal then to have the numbers sewed on instead of heat pressed.

Still, might be fun to fix it up and have it going again 12 years later.
