Gilman on 1040

Laurence Gilman is on the Team right now, cohosting with Sekeres. Caller questions coming up. So far it's been entertaining, but not much of substance.

Gilman is much, much more relaxed on air than Gillis is. As many stupid questions as Gillis gets when he comes on the Team, I still have little patience for his arrogance and irritation. He should take a lesson from his assistant and lighten up.

No, they are complaining that Hodgson should've been packaged with Schneider to get a "Kings Ransom" return...

Gilman throwing AV under the bus as to why Ballard didn't work out here. Finally a good question

EDIT:Throwing under the bus is a little harsh, but it seemed like AV was mostly to blame

All he said was that AV didn't trust Ballard, and once that thought was in AV's head it never got out.

First person to come to mind when asked about why we didn't take a"big Russian" over Horvat was Zadorov, guess the Canucks had him ranked highly, maybe higher than Nichushkin.

Or maybe he was thinking literal size because Zadorov is taller and like 30 lbs heavier than Nichushkin

He also mentioned being very surprised Hunter fell to us, having him ranked about 14.

Gilman answered my question, but not without him and Sekeres making fun of my name.

Jerks!

Please link the podcast in here after. I won't be able to listen live and frankly I can't stand the team1040 anymore.

Crap, I was meaning to ask how the Canucks felt about Nichushkin.

Haha, I heard that.

Seriously, I'd be OK if Sestito gets 40-45 games next year. Anything more, err....no thank you.

On the PP, Gilman: "...perhaps use Jason Garrison more..."

So, it wasn't just us.
