well if you crap on the jets for listing guys as prospects or having guys on the roster with no announcements, how is that relevant then too?

its almost like the pot calling the kettle black

Which we still are. Calm down, they haven't even announced names for the new divisions yet.

The Jets roster page also still lists Alex Burmistrov and Aaron Gagnon.

It would likely be a 2-way, you'd have to think, or Thorburn/Peluso are done. I'd think they'd drop Thorburn in that case and you'd rotate Peluso or Halischuk on the 4th line, depending on matchup (Peluso for toughness, Halischuk for just meh play, since it seems he's fallen off quite a bit).

Halischuck is also listed on the Predators roster. Weird.

Also despite my almost notorious negative reputation I would like to welcome you to the boards. Some of us (like me) might be disappointed in the moves made, but we (at least most of us) always welcome new input to the discussion

UFA RW Matt Halischuk, previously of Nashville, is listed on the #NHLJets website as a member of the Jets. We're seeking confirmation.

Unless Garret's numbers are horrible, I see this as a pretty good pickup for us.

He had a pretty good season in 2011-2012 (15 - 13 - 28), and he's good on the PK as well.

I know that a lot of us wanted to see more of Peluso, but I look at Halischuk as a massive upgrade on that 4th line RW spot over Peluso and Thorburn.

As long as that is where the org is thinking he can slot in, and are not thinking he is the answer for the 3rd line LW spot, I am more than fine with this pickup.

Have to know more about his injury as I think someone posted something about that earlier.

Looks good to me at first glance though (if he is Thorburn's replacement).

Well like you all said it's probably a two way contract.

I think Chevy has him slotted in on the third line.

thorburns replacement works.. or maybe, even on the third line as a replacement for tangradi.

I have that feeling too. Possibly to create competition with Tangradi.

If the #NHLJets have indeed signed Matt Halischuk, he has 54 points (25 goals, 29 assists) in 154 career NHL games.

honestly, perhaps they decided to pass on tangradi and halischuk replaces him, IMO, that would be an upgrade.

Makes more sense.
I didn't look into it, just saw someones random tweet.
That's what I get for not looking into something myself.
