San Jose vs Los Angeles vs Anaheim

Which California team is gonna be the best next season, and which order?

Mod: can you correct the title (removing the ''a'' in ''Loas Angeles'') please?

Going LA, Anaheim and SJ.

A slow start from LA doesn't matter as much in a full schedule season.

L.A., San Jose, Anaheim.

L.A wins division, San Jose makes playoffs, Anaheim is closer to a lottery pick than the playoffs.

i dont think we can predict their ranking at the end of the season. But i think overall in the series, i would give the edge to LA, then SJS, then Anaheim, im saying all 3 going to make the playoffs.

I think it goes SJ, LA, ANA in regular season, but I see LA going the farthest in the playoffs.

new Pacific division is pretty weak. With Calgary a lock to finish bottom, Anaheim just have to beat 2 of EDM, PHX or VAN.

I expect all 3 to make it in the order of

LA, SJ, ANA

Unless something goes drastically wrong they're all making the playoffs along with Vancouver. As much as it pains me to admit it I think LA comes out on top with Anaheim and SJ being pretty close in the standings.

You don't think a division with Edmonton, Calgary and Colorado in it is weak? Have you seen the bluelines & goalies those teams are icing?

LA-SJ-ANA

If we don't play like last year, Ana likely supersedes the Sharks. But all three should be able to make the playoffs.

Thats not true. Only the top 3 from each division make the playoffs. The 2 best of the 4-5 seeds in each conference make the playoffs. So it can be 1-3 from the pacific and 1-5 from division 2.

I think Vancouver gets tore up this year in California.

All three teams I think are definitely going to make the playoffs, they're all solid teams. I think the Kings are still the best, but you could interchange the Sharks and Ducks. Right now, I think the Ducks are a slightly better team, so I ranked them Kings, Ducks, Sharks.

You most certainly did not.

Los Angeles > San Jose > Anaheim. Anaheim being the only one who may not make the playoffs.

Post 2011 the Canucks have been pretty mediocre against the Pacific, so I could definitely see that happening. That being said they likely ice a vastly different team so there's that.

You're right, my bad - no idea why I thought Colorado were in there.

My point still stands though - who of Calgary, Edmonton or Phoenix is going to knock out one of the other 4 teams? Edmonton's blueline is woeful, Phoenix don't have the firepower up front and Calgary will be lucky not to finish last in the league. It will take some serious overachieving from one of those 3 teams or some serious underachieving from one of LA/SJ/Ana/Van. Obviously it's the NHL and far stranger things have happened but right now those 4 are pretty far ahead of the other 3.

LA. The Kings will have a stellar year next season. Its a toss up between the Ducks and Sharks. I think whatever goaltender performs better.
