I have LA>ANA>SJ.

I don't think Anaheim was a fluke last year so I can easily see them being a top 5 team in the West.

Have no idea how Anaheim will do Youth Movement in full effect? I do know we have the best future out of all those teams.

Voted LA, Ana, SJ.

I have no idea. Anything can happen and I wouldn't be surprised.

My point still stands though - who of Calgary, Edmonton or Phoenix is going to knock out one of the other 4 teams? Edmonton's blueline is woeful, Phoenix don't have the firepower up front and Calgary will be lucky not to finish last in the league. It will take some serious overachieving from one of those 3 teams or some serious underachieving from one of LA/SJ/Ana/Van. Obviously it's the NHL and far stranger things have happened but right now those 4 are pretty far ahead of the other 3.
I think you'll be surprised by how well Edmonton and Phoenix will play. Something something chickens eggs something hatch.

I'll give you Calgary, though.

...Phoenix was in the Pacific. It's not like he hasn't seen much of the Yotes.

Edmonton might be an argument, but they continually seem to underwhelm. I think most Anaheim fans look forward to playing Edmonton, because the match ups just don't seem to favor the Oilers.

6 months can do wonders to a relatively young team, not to mention the Ribeiro additional.

I'm not about to claim the 'yotes are going to run away with the division but a little respect for a team a year removed from a WCF birth, please.

LA easily.

Followed by Anaheim.

Then San Jose, they aren't that good anymore.

I'm surprised how many people are writing the Ducks off. They just finished with the 3rd best record in the league and a few of you are saying they will be a lottery pick

I think the Ducks or the Kings will be the front runners with San Jose not very far behind. It is a close group.

Matchups don't favor the oilers against the Kopitar, Getzlaf and Thornton lines.

So getting to the playoffs and going 7-4 isn't very good anymore?

LA...then I was divided b/w SJ and Anaheim. I went w/ SJ then Ducks..but I don't think the difference is bit. I think their division will be the most interesting to watch...to bad about their time zone (vs my own time zone!).

I think LA is overrated and they are gonna slow down so I say San Jose.

Sharks
Ducks
Kings

I should have switched the Ducks and Kings but still. I think LA is a great playoff team but in the season not as great. But I think San Jose is gonna be dangerous.

Ducks are going to pwn both teams next season. Guarantee they win both season series' and clinch another division title and go deeper than both in the playoffs. If I'm wrong I'll print out this thread and eat it.

I'll gladly eat my words if they prove me wrong. I love Phoenix's blueline and coaching but I dislike their forward group and don't like Smith, especially on that contract.

Correct. The Sharks are not that good anymore and to me serve zero threat as a cup team.

3 of our 4 best players had extreme down years. Imagine if they had even average years? What would you have called it then?

What exactly is not that good? 8th seed LA won the cup. Any team that gets there is a threat. Your comment defies logic in every sense.

Please tell this to everyone else. It's way more fun to be overlooked. Because then anything positive is 10x more awesome.
