Hal Gill and B's Draft History

Did you know...
Since the 1963 draft, only 5 players drafted by the Bruins have played more games in the NHL than Hal Gill.

Not bad for a guy drafted in the 8th round.

Did not know.

I would have liked to see both Chara and Gill on the Bruins at the same time.

They would have made the opponents PP look like...the Bruins pp.

I'm guessing that RB77 and TO24 are on list. Joe Thornton has to up there. Glen Wesley too.

I'd guess Bergeron and Thornton might surpass him on day but you are gunna have to think older.

Glenn Murray maybe?

Bourque Wesley was Sweeney drafted? Joe Juneau ??? No idea who else to guess

Bergeron will pass him this year if he has an even remotely healthy season. Interesting thing about Bergeron is that he's going to rocket up the list of franchise leaders for games played if he stays healthy the next few years.

He's currently 28th on the list of franchise leaders for games played. One 82 game season and he'd be 18th. Another 82 game season would take him to 14th. Then 10th the next year, and 5th the year after. He's not going to play 4 straight 82 games seasons, but if he stays healthy, he's going to be way up there very soon.

For sure. We're not going to have to beg him to stay, either.

He's also 20th in points... Put him down for 60 next season and he's at 14th. With Marchand improving and the addition of Iginla/Eriksson, I'd say 70-75 is achievable... He's done better every year. He won't touch Bourque, Bucyk, and Esposito, but if he stays healthy he could probably get into the top 5... Also interesting, he's 2nd in OT goals in the regular season... I'm having a blast on the Bruins All-Time stat sheet, can you tell?

Bergeron lost 116 regular season games due to the lockouts and he lost 72 games after the Jones hit.

Not sure if he will crack 1100 games, but he should.

What it says is that the B's FO never invested in scouting. That's why there was an issue with talent in the minors. They also split a minor league team back in the days. Great way to develop.
