While I think it's great for the league to have him here, in his prime, I think it's best that hes not with NYRB for a few reasons:
1. It spreads out the big name talent so the notion that the only teams that spend are LA and NY is dispelled
2. While he is automatically a top 5 player in the league, he is not worth 8 mil per year (or 6.87 whatever it is). He is making more than twice what Cahill and Henry get, respectively, and he is not that much better than either of them. I actually think Henry is better than him. And while RB's money is not a concern to me and all that matters is fitting it under the cap, if they spend nearly 40 million dollars total to bring in a guy, they might not be so willing to spend more when we need it.
Shocked this wasn't bumped for the start of EPL lol. And it's on NBC/NBCS this year...I don't mind the commentators they have doing this Liverpool/Stoke game but they're no Darke and Macca haha. I wonder if any of the commentating groups they have will be popular?
