Great signing. The fans ran him out of Roma.

Marchisio just re-injured his knee yesterday. He may be out for a little while. Oh man I'd be so upset if Vidal ever went anywhere. The guy is amazing. His set up on Chiellini's goal yesterday was ridiculous. Juve dismantled Lazio 4-0 in the super coppa.

Here's the highlights in Arabic with a sepia filter hahahahaa. Thanks for Pogba by the way United.

Seriously watch this though. Every goal was frickin beautiful.

Deciding whether to bash my brains in with the remote or watch the game at 3pm is a tough one. I have a feeling A will happen if I do B so might as well watch.

Can't see Newcastle rising to the challenge tonight. City have too much power and talent.

Cabaye not in the squad for the Toon. That's a blow.

Looking forward to seeing what the new boys for City can do.

I didn't think it was a disgrace. Philly parked the bus. **** happens. The next 2 weeks will tell where the team is at

Just no consistency. Sometimes we look sick and sometimes we can't generate anything. I don't know what to say. I just hope BWP can do something

Philly played a near perfect road game. They absolutely parked the bus and had 90% of the team in the box whenever RBNY was on the attack. They didn't send too many players upfield just to make sure we didn't get any odd-man rushes on the counter. Then they took a few offensive chances on their own to try and squeak by with a 1-0 victory. Petke correctly identified that they need to work on breaking down a team that is only interested in playing defense up the middle.

Don't you think a guy like Juninho could've helped break them down? We are missing that kind of string puller and its too late to get one, it looks like

I had a problem with Juninho. Besides him being slow he seemed to have absolutely no chemistry with anyone. Then he heads for Brazil and scores goals like crazy. He was being lazy and did not care much when he was here. There's rumors flying around that Donovan is going to come here. That would absolutely solve a lot. Hey maybe Andrea Pirlo could leave Italy after the World Cup and come here. He has mentioned he may do that.

1. Yeah Juninho looked like he didn't get along much with others but I cant fault his effort. He played in a more defensive role than he should have. Hell, he played in the US Open Cup game in a tiny Harvard stadium. And remember his reaction when Cahill scored against LA off his free kick? The guy had to care here, at least a little.

2. I saw that Donovan thing. Our need right now is at striker and RM and he fills both to perfection. That would be a dream and we would draw a few more USMNT fans/Eurosnobs, likely.

3. I expect a decent amount (don't know how to quantify it - 5+?) of semi-high to high profile names to come after the World Cup next summer. There have been countless players who have suggested it. Jermaine Jones, Pirlo, etc. (some guys like Wesley Sneijder, Kaka, others who want to make the WC squad but would come after).

Juninho never wanted to be here. Him being gone is a good thing.

I don't think Donovan is a realistic option. He's gonna stay in LA or go to Europe. My money is on LA

I also expect players to storm over next summer after the WC. The league is definitely on its way up

Grant Wahl on Fox Soccer Daily "Landon Donovan said that if things don't work out with LA for a new contract that he is ready for a new challenge. NY is a possibility. He had said he wanted to live there one day."

Apparently Genoa and A.C. Milan are interested in Landon should he want to move. I think he'd actually be a good fit in Seria A, I can't see him staying in the MLS but leaving LA.

The Bale deal is apparently close to being done. 93 million and Coentrao. Wow.

Thought I read some stuff that Coentrao couldn't agree to terms with Tottenham, so it would up the cash portion of the deal, but all rumors are to be taken with a grain of salt. Sounds like all of this is connected to Spurs landing both Willian and Lamela too. Pretty crazy exchanges if they all went down at around the same time.

Yep and with Bale going to RMFC it's looking more and more likely CR7 comes home

Bale out means Ronaldo moves, which means Rooney moves.

Where Rooney moves is the real mystery. Bayern? I'd ask MLS to make a pitch but the transfer fee would be unprecedented.
