Where does the Leafs Top 6 rank in the NHL?

Leafs don't have the always sought after prototypical #1 center, but they can score with the best of them:

JVR Bozak Kessel
Lupul Kadri Clarkson

Can this top 6 be considered a Top 6 of a contender?

Can you name 5, 10, 15 teams with a better top 6?

8th-9th, give or take a spot maybe. Their top six is good enough to be an outside contender but not good enough to be a favourite.

I'd probably put them 8-10.

Just no....

Anyways, I'd rank leafs top 6 forwards anywhere from 10 to 7.

If they do get a 1C then it's definitely top 5.

Lupul, JVR and Kadri are pretty boss..

Kessel is growing on me, even tho he a fat ass.

If Kadri continues to step up, then their ranking could seriously improve the following season. A true top center is really the only thing bringin em down.

Umm, i think youre out to lunch. Or severely over rating the leaf wingers. Cause the centre position is holding the leafs back immensely.

Why not make a poll who has a better top 6 Tor or Edmonton and remove the homer votes for both teams

2 PPG forwards and another forward who had 44pts in 48 games. I think they'll be fine

Accidentally voted below top 15...yikes. Anyway, I think they're borderline top-10.

That would be a solid poll, but it would become absolutely unreadable by the end of the first page.

The real question; which team has the better top six, Toronto or Calgary?

Kessel > Hall
Kadri = RNH
Lupul > Eberle
JVR < Yakupov
Bozak = Gagner
Clarkson > Perron

Win for Leafs and Leafs don't get pounded into the boards. They aren't marshmallow soft.

Is why there's a poll, so we don't have to read.

Had the sickest write up and it got deleted.

Basically, the ones clearly better right now: Boston, Pittsburgh, LA, Chicago, Philly, San Jose

Can be argued better/same tier: NY Rangers, STL, Ottawa, Detroit

Potential to be better soon: Edmonton, Colorado, NY Islanders

Right now, I think they're in the top 10, between 7-10. They can be passed by some, and they can pass some, especially if Kadri continues to develop nicely. But definitely top half of the league.

Bolded is what does it for me. You can't just look at points in determining what's a good top 6. Chemistry, defensive responsibility and physical play are all crucial. That's why Leafs > Edmonton right now.

In the future though, with all that skill in the Oilers top 6, they can easily pass the Leafs overall despite never being as physical.

I'm a Leafs fan and I would put RNH easily above Kadri

One could argue Hall > Kessel, or at least equals Kessel. He had almost as many points with a few games missed. But he adds a physical, power game.

Kadri = RNH..really? I was one of the people who weren't sure how RNH's offense would translate to the NHL and I'd take him over kadri, easily.

Eberle > Lupul. They're probably similar when they're both playing, but Lupul gets injured pretty easily.
