Patrick Kane on the same line as Tavares

Isles really need a 1st line RW, future 2nd line center will most likely be Nelson or Strome.

Patrcik Kane AINEC.

Bergeron's career high in points: 73

Kane's career average in points: 77

When the offensive gap is that big other considerations shouldn't even come into play.

Bergeron - Kane goes invisible for stretches, while he is the vastly superior offensive weapon what Bergeron does is immense. You rarely see the guy make a mistake on the ice.

Kane, but I should of picked Bergeron.... thinking before hand: offensive gap is too big even with Bergerons assets. Thinking after, Kane is often a negetive player with great linemates. Bergeron has inferior line mates and does more with less shown by his beautiful plus minus. Kane can score but hes a liabilty on the other half.

Not that it matters, but Patrick Kane hasn't been a minus player since 2008-09 (his 2nd NHL season) and has averaged around a +10 for the past 4 years.

As for this thread, I'd take Kane. I could see a very strong argument made for Bergeron, given his all-round play, but the offensive difference between the two makes it Kane for me. Like someone else said, he's a game-breaker and he was incredibly consistent this season.

Bergeron because without him our 2nd line center is... Chris Kelly.

Bruins don't need talented wingers.

He is not "often a negative player" - he was only a negative player his first two seasons (and then just barely). He has also been stuck w/ a bad centre the last few years...Bolland, Handzus, Kruger...

He is also not a "liability" in his own end...he's definitely not a defensive-minded player but he is not nearly as bad as people claim.

Interesting considering the Leafs lack a #1 center and have Kessel on the top line.

I thought you were a leafs fan? Not sure now lol. The question was who would you rather have on your team.

I'm a Hawks fan.

re the Leafs...yes, they need a centre more than someone to play RW..so they could use Bergeron more. That said, I think most people read these polls as 'who's better'.

I would take Bergeron on the Rangers. Accidentally voted for Kane.

Kane only because the kings have an unlimited supply of centers.

With our center depth and poverty of scoring wingers you'd take Bergeron on the Rangers? That's a tough sell.

Can't go wrong. Depends what you need.

Homer in me goes Bergeron. But again, I'm a homer.

The Rangers already have Nash and Callahan on RW.

They have Stepan at C....... followed by Brassard and Richards, two huge question marks. Center depth is a major weakness on the Rangers roster past Stepan.

Exactly they have Nash and Callahan. Ryan Callahan is our 2nd best goal scorer. That's a problem. I think you're better off with Brad Richards as your 3rd best center than Ryan Callahan as your 2nd best winger.

Disagree. Brad Richards sucks and he's gone via buyout hopefully. Derrick Brassard has been an inconsistent 40 pt center his entire career for a weak CBJ team. To me, it's a no-brainer choosing Bergeron. Also feel there are young wingers that will surpass Callahan in a few years.

If there's a winger in our system that can give us the neighborhood of 27 goals I'll eat my hat.

maybe not goals, but points and overall play. Hagelin imo is already close to surpassing him if he has not done so already.
