The other one is well over 1000 posts.

Just saw a graphic on the Tigers/Rangers game that the Jays are 34-0 when leading after 7 innings.

Wow. That's quite telling. Our reliever's have been very good! Which at the season's beginning would never have thought.

I thought our starters were rock solid

Now if only they can be in the lead more often in the 7th inning. The elements of a good ball club are there, they just need consistent starting pitching and better hitting

Any ideas when Hutchison, Perez and Drabek can come back?

Hopefully not for a while. I'd love to have those guys pitch out the season in the minors. Continue on with it until next year. After not pitching for almost over a year I think penciling them into the lineup might be a BAD idea.

I want to say "lets not rush them" but with this origination I don't think I can trust that.

Hutchison was scheduled to start his rehab assignment on Thursday but the rain got in the way. Probably see him in tomorrows game.

Adonys Cardona finally had a good outing for once. 3IP, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 5K's. 4 groundball outs to 0 flyouts. Was apparently throwing in 95-96 and topping out at 98.

Daniel Norris came back and had a great outing too. 4IP, 4 hits, 2 runs (0 earned), 0 walks, 5K's. 0 walks is a huge positive. Team made 6 errors tonight.

Gabryszwski had a good outing as well. 5IP, 5 hits, 2 runs (0 earned), 1 walk, 6K's. Nice to see the strikeouts which he hasn't had many of this season.... but he hasn't been walking guys either (2 walks, 18 strikeouts in 34IP). Needs to get more groundballs if he can't strike guys out.

Not sure how hard this guy throws but Miguel Castro dominated for DSL tonight. 6IP, 2 hits, 0 runs, 1 walk, 11K's. He has 6 walks and 40 strikeouts in 31IP and is 18 years old. Perhaps someone to keep an eye out for?

•While the Cubs' Matt Garza currently pitches in the National League, Bruce Levine of ESPNChicago.com says that he could soon return to the AL. Levine reports that the Rangers and Blue Jays are the "front runners" in acquiring Garza's services for the balance of 2013.

Because we still have a couple good prospects in the system and they must be dealt.

Trading for garza is dumb. There is a small chance that the jays will make playoffs. Trading prospects for a rental doesn't make sense.

Hopefully one of the deadbeats in our lineups and maybe a reliever? AA better not offer good prospects! We are sooooo far away.

Since from Texas' end it appears that Mike Olt in is the discussions I don't think we would get him for a deadbeat and a reliever.

Olt is hitting just over .200 and turns 25 next month, he is not a top prospect anymore.

Wouldn't mind Garza, but an extension has to already been agreed upon. Another factor is if we can get rid of Buerhle. AA said we're spending as much as we pretty much can, so some salary would need to be shed, I assume.

Garza is good but is he much better than what we already have?Even when he won 15 games his ERA was nearly 4. He's a .500 pitcher and has never had an ERA under 3.32(except this year but that can change).

Garza plus an extension would negate the loss of Johnson. Also, moving Johnson and Janssen would likely make up what we would have to move for Garza making it a lateral move in trading Johnson for his replacement and only costing us a reliever to do it. It would make sense to do in that situation and I wouldn't mind it since our pen is our strength and we have lots of depth there.
